You know that stretch of Boulevard de la Croisette where all the fancy hotels are lined up like dominoes? Well, this apartment sits right in the thick of it at number 61, which means you’re literally steps from where all the festival madness happens – but here’s the thing, you actually get some peace once you’re inside.

The balcony situation is what sold me, honestly. I mean, you’ve got this proper sea view that looks out over the Mediterranean, and in the mornings – especially if you’re an early riser like me – you can watch the beach crews setting up those perfectly aligned umbrellas while sipping your coffee. The two bedrooms work really well if you’re traveling with friends or family, though I’ll be straight with you, the second bedroom is a bit snug. But who cares when you’ve got that living space that opens right onto the balcony? I spent most evenings out there anyway, watching the promenade fill up with that mix of tourists, locals walking their designer dogs, and street performers setting up near the Palais des Festivals.

What I really appreciated was how walkable everything is from here – and I don’t just mean the obvious stuff like the beaches and shops. You can actually stroll down to Port Pierre Canto in about fifteen minutes if you want to see some serious yachts, or head the other direction toward the old town (Le Suquet) when you need a break from all the Croisette glamour. The apartment itself feels more lived-in than hotel-sterile, which I actually prefer. Sure, it’s not going to win any design awards, but everything works, the WiFi is solid, and there’s enough space to spread out after long days of exploring. Parking can be a bit of a headache during festival season – well, let’s be honest, everything’s a headache during festival season – but the rest of the year it’s pretty manageable. The building has that classic French apartment feel, which means you’ll hear some street noise (it’s the Croisette, after all), but nothing that decent earplugs can’t handle. For the location and the fact that you get a proper kitchen to avoid eating out every single meal, it’s actually a pretty smart choice, especially if you’re planning to stay more than just a quick weekend.
