A032-Beautiful apartment for 4 – Near Croisette
You know what struck me first about this place? The address actually means something here – 17 Avenue de Madrid puts you right in that sweet spot where you’re close enough to the Croisette madness but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night. I mean, when you’re staying near the most famous boulevard on the French Riviera, that balance is everything.
The apartment itself is honestly better than most four-star hotels I’ve crashed in around Cannes. It’s got this lived-in elegance that feels way more authentic than those stuffy palace hotels closer to the Palais des Festivals. The space works perfectly for four people – and I actually mean four people, not that cramped situation where you’re tripping over each other’s suitcases. The kitchen is properly equipped too, which is huge because let’s face it, eating out for every meal in Cannes will drain your bank account faster than you can say “rosé.” There’s something really satisfying about grabbing fresh produce from the Marché Forville in the morning and cooking it up here while you plan your day.
What I love most is how the location gives you options. You can walk to the beach clubs along the Croisette in about ten minutes – past those ridiculously expensive boutiques that are fun to window shop even if you’re not dropping thousands on a handbag. But you’re also close enough to the real Cannes, where locals actually live and eat. The Suquet district is right there when you want to escape the tourist circus, and honestly, some of the best meals I’ve had were in those tiny bistros tucked into the old town’s winding streets. The apartment sits in this interesting pocket where you hear the gentle hum of the city during the day, but it actually quiets down at night – which, if you’ve ever tried to sleep near the main drag during festival season, you’ll know is basically a miracle. Parking can be a bit of a dance around here (it’s Cannes, after all), but the building has options, and there’s usually street parking if you’re willing to walk a few blocks. The 9-star rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s that rare find where the photos actually undersell the experience rather than oversell it.
