— The hotel
Apartment 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms clear view in Palm beach area
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the address on Avenue Reine Astrid, I thought “okay, another Cannes apartment rental.” But stepping into this two-bedroom place completely changed my tune. The “clear view” part of the name isn’t just marketing fluff – you actually get this gorgeous panorama of the Mediterranean that hits you right when you walk in. I mean, Pointe Croisette isn’t technically the main Croisette strip (that’s a few minutes’ walk), but honestly? I preferred being slightly removed from all that chaos while still having the beach literally across the street.
The setup works really well if you’re traveling with another couple or family – two proper bedrooms, two full bathrooms, so nobody’s fighting over shower time in the morning. What I loved was how the living area opens right onto that view I mentioned. You know what surprised me? The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to grab fresh stuff from the Forville market (about a 10-minute walk) and cook at home. The air conditioning works well too – crucial if you’re there in July or August when Cannes gets pretty steamy. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area, but there’s a public lot nearby on Rue d’Orsay that locals use. The building itself feels solid and quiet, which is saying something since you’re so close to the beach scene.
Here’s the thing about this location that most people don’t realize until they’re there – you’re positioned perfectly between the festival district and the more relaxed Palm Beach area. Walk ten minutes toward the Palais des Festivals and you’re in full Cannes glamour mode, but head the other direction and you hit these quieter beach clubs and the Port Pierre Canto marina where locals actually hang out. The 8.8 rating makes sense to me because while it’s not luxury hotel fancy, it delivers exactly what it promises. I’d definitely stay here again, especially during the shoulder season when the rates drop but the weather’s still perfect and you can actually move around town without bumping into tourists every three steps.
