The apartment itself has this lived-in charm that you don’t usually get with vacation rentals – I mean, it’s clearly been loved by actual people, not just styled for photos. The kitchen actually has proper cookware (you know how rare that is?), and there’s this little balcony where you can drink your morning coffee and watch the locals heading to work while the cruise ship crowds are still figuring out where to get breakfast. What really got me though was the light – these big windows face just the right direction so you get this gorgeous golden hour thing happening without the place turning into a greenhouse by noon. The three-star rating might seem modest, but honestly, it’s got everything you need and the location more than makes up for any fancy amenities you might be missing.

Here’s what nobody tells you about staying in this area – you’re walking distance to Marché Forville (the local market that closes at 1 PM, so don’t sleep in), and there’s this little bakery on Rue Félix Faure that the hotel concierges never mention because it’s not touristy enough. The building itself is pretty quiet, which is honestly a miracle considering you’re so close to everything. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle – there’s street parking but it fills up fast during festival season, and you’ll want to ask about the closest garage when you check in. The 8 rating this place gets feels about right; it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but it’s got that authentic Cannes residential feel that makes you feel less like a tourist and more like you’re just temporarily living somewhere beautiful. Plus, and this matters more than you’d think, the WiFi actually works consistently, which is apparently not a given in some of these older buildings along the coast.
