Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to this place on Rue du Maréchal de Logis J Fellegara, I wasn’t expecting much from the street level. The address sounds intimidating (try saying that three times fast), but it’s actually tucked into this really nice residential area in Prado-République that most tourists completely miss. You know what though? That’s exactly why this apartment works so well.

The building itself has that classic French apartment feel – you’re not staying in some sterile hotel lobby situation here. Instead, you get this proper standing apartment (that’s fancy French for “upscale,” by the way) that honestly feels more like borrowing a friend’s really nice place than staying in accommodation. The 9 rating makes sense once you’re inside – everything’s been done thoughtfully, from the kitchen setup to the way the light hits the living area in the afternoon. I mean, you can actually cook here if you want, which is pretty great considering how easy it is to grab fresh stuff from the market on Rue Meynadier, maybe a ten-minute walk away.

Here’s what I really appreciated: the location puts you right in the sweet spot between being close enough to the action but far enough from the Croisette chaos. You can walk to the old town (Le Suquet) without breaking a sweat, but you’re not dealing with the cruise ship crowds stumbling past your window at 2 AM. The Prado-République area has this lived-in feel – there’s a boulangerie around the corner where the woman behind the counter will remember your coffee order by day three, and you’ll see the same dog walkers every morning. It’s that kind of neighborhood. Parking can be a bit tricky during festival season (well, what isn’t in Cannes during festival season?), but the rest of the year it’s totally manageable. The apartment itself is surprisingly quiet considering you’re still in the city center – good windows, I think, plus the street doesn’t get much through traffic. Check-in was smooth, no standing around in lobbies or anything like that. You get your keys, you get your space, and honestly, after a day of dealing with the beautiful madness that is Cannes, having somewhere that feels like home base is exactly what you need.

  I could not have asked for more clear instructions as to how to get to the apartment or collect the keys.

  L’appartamento è completamente rinnovato e accogliente anche se il palazzo è piuttosto vecchio e la zona e’ molto periferica. Nonostante ciò, in circa 10 minuti a piedi si può raggiungere il centro ed è comunque una zona molto silenziosa, ben servita con tante boulangerie e Carrefour Express che sta aperto fino alle ore 21.00.
  Self check-in molto comodo ( cassetta e codice vengono comunicati dalla proprietaria poco prima dell’arrivo).
  Abbastanza pulito anche se il tutto è decisamente migliorabile.
  
  What could be improved: Il fatto che all’interno abbiamo trovato effetti personali e cibo della proprietaria.
  Alcuni armadietti erano chiusi con dello scotch ( dove erano presenti i suoi indumenti ) e nel frigorifero c’era del cibo già iniziato ( cose che abbiamo provveduto ad accantonare non appena abbiamo saputo che erano suoi!)
  Avremmo preferito trovare una casa sgombra oppure che tutto ciò fosse stato segnalato prima di prenotare.
  Inoltre la casa ha due bagni ( uno con doccia e l’altro con vasca- nuovi e molto belli) ma entrambi senza WC!!!
  Il WC e’ in uno sgabuzzino cieco ( senza areazione) e come già detto è uno solo ( per 5 persone un po’ limitativo!)
