I walked up expecting another generic Cannes rental, but honestly, there’s something refreshingly low-key about this place that actually works in its favor. The building sits right on Rue Louis Perrissol – and if you don’t know Cannes well, that’s basically perfect positioning without the insane price tag of being directly on La Croisette.

I mean, you’re literally a five-minute walk from all the festival madness and beach clubs, but when you come home at night, it’s actually quiet enough to sleep. The apartment itself has that lived-in feel that’s way better than sterile hotel rooms – proper kitchen where you can make coffee the way you like it, space to spread out your stuff, and windows that open to let in that Mediterranean air (something you don’t realize you’ve missed until you’re back in climate-controlled hotel boxes). The Welkeys management system works pretty smoothly too – they send you codes ahead of time, so no awkward lobby interactions or waiting around for someone to let you in. Though honestly, the first time you’re punching in numbers at 11 PM after a long travel day, you’ll second-guess yourself at least twice.

What really sells this place is the neighborhood vibe. There’s a little boulangerie two blocks down that locals actually use – not one of those tourist traps – and you’ll find yourself walking past the same café owners who start recognizing you after a couple days. The apartment building itself has that slightly worn French charm where the elevator is tiny but reliable, and your footsteps echo just enough in the stairwell to feel authentic. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (welcome to Cannes), but there are spots if you’re patient, and honestly, once you’re settled, you probably won’t need a car much anyway. The 7.8 rating makes sense – it’s not luxury, but it delivers on what matters. Clean, functional, well-located, and the kind of place where you can picture yourself living like a local for a week instead of just passing through. During festival season it books up fast, but off-season? You’re getting serious value for a proper Cannes address.

  What could be improved: Be aware that there is no parking close by and you have to carry luggage up 3 flights of stairs.

  Appt tres spacieux, beau séjour avec cuisine ouverte, 3 grandes fenêtres. La chambre en mezzanine est aussi très grande avec un lit confortable.

  L'appartement était très beau et confortable. L emplacement était à côté de beaucoup de restaurants, de magasins et de la mer. Nous étions dans une belle ruelle avec des voisins très aimable
  
  What could be improved: Nous avions pas eu de check in ni de rencontre avec l'hôte. Nous avions eu également un problème de wifi (plusieurs codes différents qui étaient affiché qui ne fonctionnait pas). Contact avec l'hôte qui n'a malheureusement pas répondu à mon message.
  L'appartement était pour ma part pas propre. Tâches, poussières, sol, canapé avec tâches etc…
  Pas de café, de chiffons de cuisine, de produits de nettoyage, de sopalin à disposition.
  
  Douche pas assez de pressions et chasse d'eau également.

  Die Lage und die Küche, sehr gut ausgestattet mit Geräten wie Mikrowelle und großem Kühlschrank, Waschmaschine.
  
  What could be improved: Nicht ganz so sauber, Wendeltreppe etwas klebrig, noch Scherben unter Schrank in Küche. Größtes Problem: Wackeliger Esstisch. Garderobenständer wackelig und Schränkchen oben Türe nicht fest. Bad schlechter Geruch. Unterer Ventilator zu schwach für die Hitze. Eigentlich fehlt Klimaanlage. Infos zur Wohnung haben wir erst bei Abfahrt gefunden.
