You know what struck me first about this place? The name isn’t kidding around – it really is lumineux et spacieux, which honestly matters more than you’d think when you’re staying right in the thick of Cannes. I mean, Boulevard de la République isn’t exactly a quiet side street, but somehow this apartment manages to feel like a proper retreat once you’re inside.

The location is actually pretty clever if you know Cannes at all. You’re basically planted right between the old port and the Palais des Festivals – close enough to walk to the famous red carpet spots without dealing with the insane crowds that camp out closer to the Croisette. I found myself wandering down to the Marché Forville most mornings (it’s maybe a seven-minute walk), grabbing fresh bread and just soaking up that whole Provençal market vibe before the tour groups descended. The apartment’s got this airy quality that makes those warm croissants and strong coffee taste even better when you bring them back.

What I really appreciated – and this might sound mundane but hear me out – was how the space actually works for travelers. There’s enough room to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase, and the light streaming in makes even rainy Mediterranean days feel bearable. The 7.6 rating feels about right, honestly. It’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but it delivers on the basics really well. The check-in was straightforward, no drama with keys or confusing instructions that you sometimes get with apartment rentals. Parking can be a bit of a dance during festival season (well, parking anywhere in Cannes during festival season is basically a contact sport), but the rest of the year it’s manageable if you know the little side streets. I actually ended up walking most places anyway – you’re close enough to both the beaches and the Le Suquet old town that a car feels sort of unnecessary unless you’re planning day trips to Nice or Monaco. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel too, with actual French people doing their grocery shopping and walking their dogs, not just tourists taking selfies every five meters. Sometimes you’d catch the scent of someone’s dinner cooking or hear kids playing in the courtyard, those little reminders that you’re staying somewhere real rather than some sterile hotel bubble.

  Stor, fin och ljus lägenhet med tre sovrum, vardagsrum och liten balkong. Värden tog kontakt för att avtala tid för incheckning. Lugnt och tyst i huset. Hiss fanns.
  
  What could be improved: Handdukarna var lite solkiga och påslakanet i ena rummet hade fläckar. Luftkonditioneringen i ett av sovrummen var trasig. I övriga rum fungerade den bra däremot.

  What could be improved: sprcha v zlom stave, teplá voda iba sporadicky , toaletný papier iba jeden kotúč pre 5 ľudí na 5 nocí , ale hlavný nedostatok , že tam bolo iba jedno funkčne WC a v ponuke boli dve .
