Once you’re actually standing on Rue Louis Perrissol with your bags, none of that matters because the location is just… well, it’s pretty perfect if you want to be right in the thick of things in Cannes.

The apartment itself is one of those classic French setups where you feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it. Two proper bedrooms that can actually fit six people without everyone hating each other by day three, which honestly is harder to find than you’d think in Cannes’ historic center. The real winner though is that terrace – I mean, you’re literally looking out over the old town, and in the evenings when the light hits just right, you get why people fall in love with this place. The building has that worn-in charm that three-star places sometimes nail better than the fancy spots. Nothing’s brand new, but everything works, and there’s something satisfying about the solid shutters and the way the morning sounds of the city drift up from the street below.

What I really appreciated was how walkable everything becomes when you’re staying here. You’re maybe a seven-minute stroll to the Palais des Festivals – I timed it because I’m that person – and the old port is right there when you want to pretend you’re in a movie. Rue d’Antibes for shopping is close enough that you don’t need to plan your whole day around it, but far enough that you’re not drowning in tourist crowds every time you step outside. The morning market on Rue Meynardier becomes part of your routine instead of a special expedition, which is honestly how I prefer to travel. Parking can be a bit of an adventure (this is Cannes, after all), but there are options nearby if you’re driving in. The noise level is what you’d expect from a central location – it’s a living neighborhood, not a resort bubble, so you’ll hear scooters and conversations, but it settles down at night more than you might think. Check-in was surprisingly smooth, and the whole experience felt more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in a typical vacation rental.
