— The hotel
Bliss Triplex – Hyper Centre – Sauna – BBQ – Jacuzzi – LRACANNES
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Cannes over the years, but this triplex on Rue Jean Jaurès honestly caught me off guard – in the best way possible. You know that feeling when you walk into a place and immediately think “okay, this is way nicer than the photos”? That’s exactly what happened here. The location is actually perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without dealing with the absolute chaos closer to the Palais – you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Croisette, but Jean Jaurès is just residential enough that you can actually sleep at night.
What really sets this place apart is how they’ve maximized the space across three floors. The sauna on the top level became my evening ritual after long days exploring (or honestly, after too much rosé at lunch), and having that jacuzzi right there… I mean, it sounds gimmicky until you’re actually soaking in it watching the sunset over the rooftops. The BBQ setup on the terrace is legit too – not some tiny apartment balcony situation, but proper space where you can grill some of that incredible fish from Marché Forville. Speaking of which, the market is just around the corner, which locals will tell you is where you actually want to shop, not the tourist traps near the port.
The whole vibe feels more like staying at a friend’s ridiculously nice place than a hotel. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that stuffy hotel lobby nonsense – and parking (yes, there’s actually parking) is in a small lot behind the building that most people miss. During Festival season this would be worth its weight in gold, but even in regular months it’s clutch since street parking on Jean Jaurès is pretty much impossible. The only thing I’d mention is that the stairs between floors are a bit steep, so maybe not ideal if you have mobility issues, but honestly the layout makes it feel like you have an entire house to yourself. You’ll hear some street noise during the day since it’s a busy residential street, but nothing crazy, and evenings are surprisingly quiet. This is the kind of place where you end up extending your stay because leaving that jacuzzi and sauna combo feels criminal, especially when you’re paying way less than you would for a comparable hotel room closer to the beach.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Cannes at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak May festival season when the city hosts its world-famous cinema celebrations.
