I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to the Bohemian Apartment by Connexion on Avenue de Grasse, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The building itself has that classic French apartment vibe, you know, the kind where you wonder if you’re supposed to ring a bell or just walk in. But once you get settled, it actually makes perfect sense why this place has such a solid 8.4 rating.

The location is what really got me – Avenue de Grasse puts you in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to the Croisette that you can walk there without breaking a sweat (maybe 10-12 minutes if you’re not in heels), but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of tourists and street performers at all hours. I mean, don’t get me wrong, the energy down by the harbor is incredible, but sometimes you just want to grab a coffee and croissant from the little boulangerie around the corner without navigating through crowds of people trying to get the perfect Instagram shot. The apartment itself has this laid-back, artsy feel that the name suggests – it’s not trying to be fancy in that sterile hotel way, but everything you need is there and it feels… well, it feels like staying at a friend’s place if your friend had pretty good taste and actually remembered to stock toilet paper.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. Cannes can be intense during festival season (obviously), but even during regular busy periods, once you’re back on Avenue de Grasse, it’s surprisingly peaceful. The neighborhood has this residential quality where you’ll see actual locals walking their dogs and heading to work, not just tourists with guidebooks. Parking was easier than I expected too – there’s street parking nearby, though you’ll want to get the hang of those French parking meters pretty quickly. The check-in process was straightforward, no weird complications or surprise fees that sometimes pop up with apartment-style places. Honestly, the whole experience felt refreshingly uncomplicated. You’re getting solid three-star comfort without any pretense, and the price point makes sense for what you’re getting. If you’re the type who wants to experience Cannes without feeling like you’re staying in a tourist bubble, this place hits that balance pretty well.

  What could be improved: Le linge de lit, le linge n'a pas était traité contre les acariens, première nuit les yeux qui grate, les démangements sur tout le corp. Ne convient pas au petits enfants, problème de voisinage.
