Bright apartment – Cannes, la Croisette

Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places along the Croisette, and this bright apartment on the second floor of 122 Boulevard actually surprised me. You know what struck me first? The light – I mean, they weren’t kidding with the “bright” part. These big windows face the right direction, so you’re getting that gorgeous Mediterranean sun streaming in without the place turning into an oven by afternoon. The apartment sits right in Pointe Croisette, which honestly is the sweet spot if you ask me – you’re still on the famous boulevard but away from the absolute circus that happens closer to the Palais des Festivals.

The thing about this place is it feels like someone’s actual home, not some sterile hotel setup. The furniture’s comfortable (I spent way too much time on that couch), and the kitchen’s properly equipped – I made coffee every morning and even attempted some pasta one night with ingredients from the little Monoprix down the street. Speaking of the street, yeah, you’ll hear some traffic from the boulevard, but it’s not the honking madness you’d expect. The double-glazed windows help, and honestly, by the second night I barely noticed it. What you will notice are the palm trees swaying right outside and glimpses of the sea between the buildings across the way. The building itself has that classic Cannes architecture – nothing too fancy, but solid and well-maintained. The elevator’s small but works fine, though I usually took the stairs since it’s just the second floor anyway.

Here’s what I really appreciated – the location lets you walk to everything without feeling like you’re in tourist central 24/7. The beaches are literally across the street, but you can also wander down to the old port area in about fifteen minutes if you want something more authentic than the hotel beach scene. Parking’s always a nightmare in Cannes, but there’s actually a public garage pretty close by on Rue d’Antibes, which the host mentioned and was spot-on about. The apartment’s got that lived-in comfort that makes it easy to settle in for more than just a night or two – I ended up extending my stay because, well, why leave? The 8.5 rating makes sense to me; it’s not luxury, but it’s genuine and comfortable, with that natural brightness that makes you want to keep the curtains open all day. If you’re looking for something that feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than checking into a hotel, this is it.

  Right from the start we were greeted by the lady owner who made us feel very welcomed. There was one occasion when we had to contact Leonardo and he replied straight away which was great.
  
  The apartment had everything that we were looking for, an amazing view, a lovely terrace, a spacious living area, kitchen with a microwave that came very handy, a bathroom.
  
  It was perfect for a family of three but I’m sure there was another extendable bed that was available . Was our 4th time in Cannes and our favourite beach is 4-5 mins walking distance from the apartment.
  
  There was always parking available, our car got scratched but it’s a risk you assume when parking anywhere else.

  This property was simply immaculate! It features, a double balcony, effective air conditioning, and a washing machine among other amenities. The number eight bus departs from just up the street every 20 minutes and will take you into the center of Cannes in only 18 minutes time. It’s a great day for the money.
  
  What could be improved: The living room, air conditioner, which works like a champ, drips, condensation at a rather significant rake. I had to place pots underneath the unit and empty them twice a day so that they did not overflow into the living room tile floor. Couch in living room is past its prime and needs to be replaced.
