Honestly, when I first walked into this Cannes apartment on Rue de la Verrerie, I wasn’t expecting much – you know how these rental descriptions can oversell things. But damn, that sea view really delivers. I mean, you’re not right on the Croisette or anything (which actually works in your favor, trust me), but you get this gorgeous slice of the Mediterranean from the windows, and the whole place just feels lighter because of it.

What really won me over was how thoughtfully set up everything is. The air conditioning actually works – and I’m talking proper cooling, not some wimpy unit that barely moves the air around. During my stay in July, when Cannes gets pretty brutal, this place stayed comfortable even in the afternoons. The parking situation is honestly a godsend if you’re driving in – anyone who’s tried to find a spot near the old town during festival season knows what I’m talking about. Rue de la Verrerie is this quiet little street that most tourists walk right past, but you’re literally a five-minute stroll from all the action on Rue d’Antibes where the real shopping happens (forget the overpriced stuff right on the water).

The apartment itself has that lived-in feel that makes you want to actually relax instead of treating everything like museum pieces. Kitchen’s got everything you need if you want to grab fresh stuff from the morning market at Forville – which, by the way, is an easy walk and so much better than eating every meal at tourist restaurants. I spent a couple evenings just cooking simple meals and eating on the balcony watching the light change over the water. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after sunset, which was perfect for me, though if you’re looking to stumble home from clubs at 3 AM, you might want something closer to the port area. Check-in was smooth – the owner actually knows the building well and gave me solid recommendations for everything from the best boulangerie (just around the corner) to which beach clubs aren’t complete tourist traps. That 9.1 rating makes sense when you stay here; it’s one of those places that gets the details right without trying too hard to impress you.
