Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places around Cannes, but this little gem on Avenue Prince de Galles actually surprised me. The name’s a mouthful – something about “Cannes centre beau 2 pièces” – but honestly, don’t let that put you off. What you’re getting is a proper 50-square-meter apartment with a terrace that’s tucked away in La Californie Pezou, which is this quieter residential area that most tourists completely miss.
The thing is, everyone thinks you need to be right on the Croisette to have a good time in Cannes, but you know what? Those twelve minutes to the beaches and the Palais des Festivals are actually a blessing. You get to wake up without the constant hum of traffic and crowds, then wander down through some really lovely streets when you’re ready for the action. The terrace – and this is where it gets good – faces away from the main road, so you can actually have your morning coffee without feeling like you’re camping on a sidewalk. I mean, the whole La Californie area has this residential charm that feels more like you’re staying in someone’s neighborhood rather than a tourist bubble.
What really won me over was how genuinely quiet it gets at night. You’re still close enough to everything that matters – the old port, those little bistros locals actually eat at, the morning markets – but you’re not dealing with the party noise that echoes through the city center until 3 AM. The apartment itself feels properly lived-in rather than sterile, which I always prefer. There’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in for a few days, and the kitchen’s functional enough that you can grab fresh stuff from the Forville market and cook something decent. The whole setup just works better than those cramped hotel rooms where you’re tripping over your suitcase.
Honestly, the location grows on you. Sure, you’ll walk a bit more than if you were staying right in the thick of things, but that walk takes you through parts of Cannes that feel more real. You’ll pass the same café owner setting up tables each morning, see actual residents going about their lives, get a sense of what the city’s like when it’s not performing for visitors. And when you do want the full Cannes experience – the beaches, the shopping, the people-watching along the Croisette – it’s all right there. You just get to retreat to somewhere that actually feels like home at the end of the day.

Beau logement bien situé, lumineux , très calme et bien équipé, propre, proche du centre Cannes et Croisette 10mn et bus juste en face. Bon accueil et ponctuel, plus un petit panier de produits locaux pour l accueil. Je recommande pour couple ou même personne seule
