You know what caught me off guard about this place? The name makes it sound like you’re just renting someone’s spare bedroom, but honestly, it’s so much more than that. I mean, when you’re literally 50 meters from the Croisette – and I actually paced it out because I’m that kind of person – you’re talking about prime real estate in one of the most expensive stretches of the French Riviera.

The location is absolutely ridiculous in the best way possible. You step out the front door and boom, you’re practically on the famous promenade where all those iconic Cannes Film Festival photos get taken. But here’s the thing nobody tells you – being right on Boulevard de la Croisette means you get the full Cannes experience without the insane hotel prices of the palace hotels. I could literally see the Carlton from my window (you know, that massive white building with the green domes), and the beach clubs are right there if you want to blow your budget on a €30 cocktail. The morning walks along the water before the crowds hit? Absolutely perfect. You’ll hear the gentle lapping of waves mixing with the sound of street cleaners – weirdly soothing, actually.

What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to create something that feels genuinely comfortable despite the premium location. The room itself – well, it’s definitely more boutique than sprawling, but everything’s been thought through. The bed was actually decent (and I’m pretty picky about that), and the bathroom had this great rainfall shower that felt amazing after long days wandering around the old town of Le Suquet. Speaking of which, that’s maybe a 15-minute walk up the hill, past all the little galleries and cafés that locals actually frequent. The 9.8 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s one of those places where the small touches add up. Good WiFi, proper blackout curtains (crucial when you’re trying to sleep off jet lag), and honestly, the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward.

The three-star rating might make you think it’s basic, but I think that’s just the French rating system being more honest than most places. You’re not getting a spa or room service, but you are getting a clean, well-located base that puts you in the heart of everything. The Palais des Festivals is literally a five-minute stroll – I timed it while dodging tourists taking selfies. For groceries, there’s a Monoprix nearby, and if you want proper French pastries, there’s this little boulangerie on Rue d’Antibes that opens early and has the best pain au chocolat I’ve had outside of Paris.

I’ll be honest, the area can get pretty bustling during festival season or peak summer, but that’s part of the charm. You’re staying where things actually happen in Cannes, not tucked away in some quiet residential area where you need to commute to the action. The price point hits that sweet spot where you’re not breaking the bank but you’re definitely not slumming it either.

  Perfect location, right at the beach, next to Martinez. It's a clean room with bathroom, that was well equipped. Oksana, my host, was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it, and would come back in the future.
  
  What could be improved: I think for the price it's a really good spot to rent. A little tip for improvement: It would have been nicer if they install a lot less wardrobe, and instead have a desk to work on, or a couch to sit. Or instead of the stools, at least two chairs would have been a better option.

  Сподобалося те, що коли заїхали в номер, ми помітили що бар слабо охолоджував. Власниця швидко відреагувала і бар замінили на наступний день. Супер.
  Дуже сподобалося місце розташування, море дуже близько.
  Зручне ліжко для пари. Кімната не велика, але дуже все зручно, відділення для одягу, вішалки і інше.
