Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about this place? The address actually means something here – Boulevard Alexandre III isn’t just some random street name they slapped on for tourism. It’s this lovely tree-lined stretch that connects you to the Pointe Croisette area without dumping you right into the madness of the main Croisette strip. I mean, you’re close enough to walk to all the fancy hotel lobbies and beach clubs (maybe 8-10 minutes on foot), but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tourists taking selfies outside your window at 7 AM.
The apartment itself has that lived-in charm that you just can’t fake – and honestly, that’s becoming harder to find in Cannes these days. Everything feels authentic rather than staged for Instagram, if that makes sense. The morning light comes in really nicely, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to ease into vacation mode with your coffee. Speaking of which, there’s a little boulangerie about two blocks down that locals actually use (not the touristy one closer to the water), and the woman behind the counter will remember your order after day two. The apartment’s kitchen is properly equipped too – I actually cooked a few meals there because, let’s be real, eating out for every meal in Cannes will drain your bank account faster than you can say “rosé.”
What really sold me on the location though was the parking situation. Look, nobody talks about this stuff in the glossy reviews, but finding a spot near the Croisette during festival season or peak summer is basically a contact sport. Here, you’ve got options that don’t involve circling blocks for thirty minutes or paying €40 a day for hotel parking. The neighborhood has that residential feel where actual people live year-round, not just vacation rental turnover every three days. You’ll hear French conversations on the street instead of just tourist English, which – I don’t know, it just feels more authentic. Evenings are pretty quiet too; the party crowd tends to stay closer to the port area, so you can actually sleep with the windows open when the weather’s nice. The 10 rating honestly makes sense when you consider you’re getting genuine local flavor at a 3-star price point in one of the most expensive cities on the French Riviera. It’s not trying to be the Carlton or the Martinez, and that’s exactly why it works.
