The rooms aren’t huge – let’s be honest, nothing in central Cannes is unless you’re dropping serious cash – but they’re thoughtfully put together in a way that makes you feel like someone actually cares about your stay. The staff genuinely knows the neighborhood, and I don’t mean they’ve memorized some tourist script. And here’s something most people don’t realize: you’re perfectly positioned to explore the Suquet, the old town that climbs up the hill behind you. Most tourists never make it up there because they’re too busy taking selfies on the beach, but it’s where Cannes actually shows you its soul. The hotel folks will point you toward the walking paths if you ask – they’re not obvious from street level, but once you know where to look, you’ve got this whole other side of the city opening up. Honestly, for what you’re paying and where you’re staying, it’s hard to find a better balance of authenticity and convenience without ending up in some soulless chain hotel or breaking the bank on waterfront glamour you’ll barely have time to enjoy anyway.
