Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Croisette-Oasis on rue Velasquez, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place in Cannes. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that surprise you. This little gem sits just off the main Croisette drag, which actually works in your favor because you get that prime Pointe Croisette location without the circus of tour buses and street performers right outside your window. The building itself has this charming older French architecture – not flashy, but solid and welcoming in that way that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled onto something the Instagram crowd hasn’t ruined yet.

What really got me was how the staff seemed to actually care about getting things right. Check-in was smooth (I mean, no one’s reinventing the wheel here, but they knew my name and had my room ready), and the front desk guy – I think his name was Marc – gave me these spot-on recommendations for dinner that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps. The rooms are clean and comfortable, though don’t expect marble bathrooms or anything fancy. It’s more like staying at a well-kept European hotel where everything works and you can actually get a good night’s sleep. The air conditioning was a lifesaver in July, and honestly, the beds are better than some 4-star places I’ve stayed at – not too soft, not too firm.

Here’s the thing that really sold me on this place: the location is absolutely perfect if you know Cannes at all. You’re maybe a three-minute walk to the beach and the Palais des Festivals, but you’re tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the madness of the main strip when you want to just chill. There’s this little bakery around the corner that opens at 6 AM – perfect for grabbing croissants before the crowds hit the beaches. And if you’re driving, they actually have a parking arrangement nearby, which is basically a miracle in this part of town. I stayed here during the film festival buzz (though not during the actual festival – I’m not that crazy), and even then it felt like a peaceful retreat at the end of the day. The 8.2 rating makes complete sense to me – it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it delivers exactly what it promises and then some. For the price point, especially in high season, you’re getting incredible value in one of the most expensive cities on the French Riviera.

  What could be improved: I was very surprised when they asked me to pay for towels and bed sheets, but after they say ok you can don’t pay , conditioner don’t work really its very hot also kitchen stove so old that to boil water take hour. don’t expect there small things which usually have in apartment like shower gel or cleaning for dishes or at least salt . there really nothing. so if you want stay few days in good location it’s ok but for long wouldn’t recommend

  What could be improved: Ingen aircondition eller mulighed for at skabe gennemtræk – og da vi var der i en virkelig varm periode var det nærmest for varmt st opholde sig indenfor eftermiddag og aften.

  Croisette Oasis est une ancienne maison avec de petits appartements qui ont tous une chouette terrasse arborée. C'est le gros plus du logement.
  La litterie est bonne.
  Il y a cafetiere, grille pain, etc.
  Bien situé. On peut se garer gratuitement.
  
  What could be improved: Il n'y a pas de climatisation mais la nuit il y a de la fraicheur grâce à la végétation.
  On entend les voisins, un peu comme en village vacances mais tout le monde est respectueux.
