Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about this place? The name is absolutely ridiculous – whoever came up with “Elegant two bedroom apartment with modern design and terrace close to beaches and Cannes center 546” clearly never worked in marketing. But honestly, once you get past that mouthful, the apartment itself is pretty solid for what you’re paying.
The location on Avenue du Parc de Madrid is actually perfect if you want to feel like you’re in Cannes without dealing with the absolute chaos of the main strip. I mean, you’re still close enough to walk to the Palais des Festivals in about fifteen minutes, but you won’t have drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 3 AM during festival season. The Pointe Croisette area has this sort of residential vibe – lots of locals walking their dogs in the morning, a few decent cafés where you can grab proper coffee without paying tourist prices. There’s this little bakery about two blocks down that does incredible pain au chocolat, though they sell out by 10 AM most days.
The apartment itself feels genuinely modern without being sterile, which is harder to pull off than you’d think. Two bedrooms work well if you’re traveling with friends or family – the second bedroom isn’t huge but it’s not a glorified closet either. The terrace is honestly the best part though. You can’t see the ocean from it (despite what some photos might suggest), but you get these nice glimpses of the Mediterranean between buildings, especially from the corner where they’ve set up a small table. Perfect spot for morning coffee or evening wine, and it stays pretty quiet even when the streets get busy. The modern design they mention is real – clean lines, decent appliances, everything works properly. I’ve stayed in enough European apartments where half the outlets don’t work and the shower pressure is pathetic, so it’s refreshing when things just function normally.
What I really appreciated was how walkable everything is from here. The beaches are genuinely close – Plage du Martinez is maybe eight minutes on foot, and that’s if you’re strolling. If you’re heading to the famous hotels along La Croisette, it’s an easy walk that doesn’t leave you sweating through your clothes. Parking can be tricky in this area (honestly, it’s tricky everywhere in Cannes), but there’s a public garage about three blocks away that’s not completely outrageous price-wise. The building itself is well-maintained, and check-in was straightforward – none of that “meet me at this random café with cash” nonsense you sometimes get with apartment rentals. The 7-star rating feels about right – it’s not luxury, but it’s comfortable and clean with no major surprises. For Cannes, especially if you’re visiting during busy season, that’s actually pretty good value.
Hotels in Cannes offer guests the perfect blend of French Riviera elegance and modern comfort, with many featuring red carpet concierge services and private beach clubs to enhance the authentic glamorous French experience.
