You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from an apartment rental tucked away on Rue Latour-Maubourg, but this place completely caught me off guard. The name’s a bit of a mouthful – Excellent Appt 2 pièces Super Croisette – but honestly, it lives up to the hype. When I first walked up to number 20, I was struck by how quiet this little street is, especially considering you’re literally a three-minute walk from the madness of La Croisette. I mean, you can still hear the distant hum of traffic and street performers, but it’s more like a gentle soundtrack than the overwhelming chaos you get right on the waterfront.

The apartment itself is exactly what you’d want for a proper Cannes experience without the tourist trap pricing of those massive hotels. It’s a solid two-room setup that actually feels lived-in rather than sterile – there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that doesn’t scream “rental property.” The kitchen’s small but functional (I managed to make decent coffee every morning, which is really all that matters), and the living space has this lovely afternoon light that filters through the windows. What really sold me was the attention to detail – proper hangers in the closet, decent Wi-Fi that actually works, and bathroom amenities that don’t look like they came from a gas station. You’ll appreciate the air conditioning too, especially if you’re visiting during the summer festival season when Cannes turns into a sweaty, glamorous zoo.

Here’s the thing about the location that most people don’t realize until they’re here – being just off the main drag is actually perfect. You can duck out for croissants at the boulangerie on the corner (their pain au chocolat is ridiculous, by the way), then wander down to the beach or the Palais des Festivals without dealing with the constant foot traffic. The street’s got this residential feel where you’ll see actual locals going about their daily business, not just tourists taking selfies every five meters. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving – I’d honestly recommend just taking the train from Nice and walking everywhere once you’re here. The whole city center is totally walkable, and you’ll stumble across those little side streets with hidden restaurants that the guidebooks somehow miss. I spent one evening just people-watching from a tiny café near Place Bernard Cornut-Gentille, which you can reach in about two minutes from the apartment. It’s these random moments that make staying in a place like this so much better than being stuck in some generic hotel lobby.

  Spacious appartment – big living room, big bathroom and all the equippment needed for a long stay.

  The apartment was clean and had all we needed for a long comfortable stay. the wardrobe in the bedroom had a lot of hangers which was good because I had a lot of clothes with me:) the AC was doing a good job at +38 outside. the internet connection was very good. the location is perfect, just 2 minutes walk to the beach and a few minutes to the main shopping streets and Restaurants. there is big supermarket 6 min walk away with a good choice of groceries.
  Will definitely stay in this apartment again.

  The host (Alexandra) was such a nice lady, we were able to stay in touch with her over whats app from before we arrived at the property right to checkout, communication was clear and efficient and it made a big difference to our overall experience staying in this apartment, and certainly made a very good impression for us to recommend her and her property to other people we know who might be interested in staying somewhere nice in Cannes.
  
  The apartment was clean and had all amenities you would need for short and longer stays, from a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, one tv in the living area, and another tv in the bedroom, it was just perfect.
  
  The location was very central next to la Croisette, only a 2 min walk to the most happening street in Cannes, surrounded by all kind of restaurants and shops that makes your stay as convenient as it gets.
  
  What could be improved: Maybe some minor improvements for the future can be stocking more supplies for guests to use during their stays such as a tissue box, more toilet paper, or some free tea and coffee capsules (as they have a coffee machine).
