You know what struck me first about Face mer cannes? The name actually makes perfect sense once you’re there – you’re literally facing the sea, and honestly, from this spot on Avenue du Docteur Raymond Picaud, you get that Mediterranean feeling without being right in the thick of the Croisette chaos. I mean, don’t get me wrong, you’re still close enough to walk to all the glamorous stuff (maybe 10-15 minutes to the main stretch), but there’s something refreshing about stepping back from that intense tourist corridor. The building itself has that classic French Riviera vibe – sort of understated in a way that grows on you, especially when you realize you’re getting solid three-star comfort without paying those insane beachfront prices.

What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to actually know Cannes, not just the hotel. They pointed me toward this little market on Rue Meynadier that I never would’ve found otherwise, and when I mentioned wanting to avoid the crowds at Plage de la Croisette, they steered me to some quieter spots that locals use. The rooms are clean and functional – nothing fancy, but you’ve got everything you need, and the beds are actually comfortable (which isn’t always a given at this price point, trust me). The shower pressure was decent too, which matters more than you’d think after walking around Cannes all day. One small thing – if you’re a light sleeper, maybe ask for a room facing away from the avenue since there can be some traffic noise, especially during festival season when this whole city basically loses its mind.

Here’s the thing about this place that took me a while to figure out: it’s positioned perfectly for people who want to experience Cannes but also want to breathe a little. You’re close enough to stroll down to the Palais des Festivals or grab dinner at one of those ridiculously expensive restaurants on the harbor, but you can also walk the other direction toward the residential areas where you’ll find cafés that don’t charge €8 for a coffee. The neighborhood has a few decent bakeries within a couple blocks, and there’s actually parking nearby (which is basically a miracle in Cannes). I stayed there in late September when things were calming down from summer, and the whole area felt more authentic – you could hear French conversations instead of just tourist chatter. For what you pay, especially considering you’re in one of the most expensive cities on the French Riviera, Face mer cannes delivers exactly what it promises: a comfortable base that lets you enjoy Cannes without feeling like you need to take out a second mortgage.

  It was way more beautiful and stylish than I've imagined. The place is located 3min walk from the not very busy beach, 15 from a old town of Cannes in La Bocca area. Apartment has everything you might need for your stay and the balcony view is omg. I wanted to live there.

  Super Balkon mit tollem Blick auf den Strand.
  Die Lage des Apartments war sehr nah zum schönen Strand. Das Apartment ist mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet.
  
  What could be improved: Abends Essen zu gehen, war etwas schwierig, da es fast keine Möglichkeit direkt vor Ort gibt. Man muss nach Cannes City oder La Bocca laufen oder mit dem Bus fahren.

  The apartments are equipped with absolutely everything you need. the location is excellent. stop nearby. buses run until the morning. apartments are clean. excellent communication with the owner 😉🔥

  La posizione e la vista mare sono ottime..la spiaggia è vicina ,e si è tra “la bocca” e Cannes ..tanto traffico a tutte le ire del giorno e della notte( a luglio)
  
  What could be improved: La camera era sporca,pelo di gatto sotto letto e divano,il forno ed il microonde impossibili da usare per quel motivo,il frigorifero conteneva alimenti vari,alcuni scaduti ,le sedie sul balcone sono idonee per gente magra(attenzione)..il letto e piccolo( penso 140 cm di larghezza)..il parcheggio non c’è,loro scrivono disponibile,si ma disponibile in inverno,in estate molto difficile trovarlo libero,praticamente parcheggi in strada..e sopratutto ,promettono il condizionatore ma esso è non presente,2 settimane con caldo e rumore ogni notte.tremendo…
