You know what struck me first about FORVILLE APARTMENT? The location is honestly perfect if you want to feel like you’re actually living in Cannes rather than just visiting. It’s tucked away on Rue Preyre, which — I’ll be honest — I had to look up on my phone the first time, but it’s literally a two-minute walk from the Forville Market. And I mean the real Forville Market, not some tourist trap version. You can grab fresh croissants and coffee in the morning and watch the locals haggle over fish prices, which is oddly entertaining when you’re still jet-lagged.

The building itself has that slightly worn French charm that actually works in its favor. It’s not trying to be fancy, which I appreciated after seeing so many overly polished places that feel like hotel chains. The apartment I stayed in was bigger than I expected — you know how European places can be tiny — and had this little kitchenette that actually functioned properly. I made pasta one night because, honestly, eating out every meal in Cannes gets expensive fast. The bathroom was decent sized too, though the shower pressure was… well, it’s France, so manage your expectations there. What really sold me was how quiet it gets at night. Rue Preyre doesn’t get the crazy party traffic that some of the streets closer to the port do, but you’re still close enough to walk to everything. I mean, the Palais des Festivals is maybe eight minutes on foot, and the train station is super walkable too if you’re planning day trips to Nice or Monaco.

The 7.7 rating makes sense to me — it’s not luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. The staff (well, the one guy I dealt with during check-in) spoke decent English and actually gave me useful recommendations, like which boulangerie opens earliest and where to find parking that won’t cost you thirty euros a day. Speaking of parking, that’s definitely something to figure out ahead of time if you’re driving. The streets around there are typical old French city narrow, and finding a spot can be… an adventure. But there’s a public garage about five minutes away that’s reasonable. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning to spend time exploring the markets and side streets rather than just hitting the beach clubs. It’s got that authentic neighborhood feel that makes you feel less like a tourist, which — at least for me — is worth way more than marble bathrooms and concierge service.

  Le personnel est adorable ! Très gentil et compréhensif.

  L’appartement est très propre et dispose de tout l’équipement nécessaire ( netflix-YT…)
  
  What could be improved: Peut être la seule chose ennuyante, c’est le bruit de la climatisation mais, possibilité de l’enlever a tout moment.

  Excellent accueil avec beaucoup de flexibilité et d'écoute, joli appartement bien aménagé et décoré avec goût, très bien placé en plein centre-ville de Cannes, grand lit très confortable et tout à portée de mains. J'y ai passé un très bon séjour !
  
  What could be improved: L'appartement est un peu sombre, heureusement que l'éclairage électrique est bien pensé et agréable.
  Le lave-vaisselle ne fonctionnait pas bien malheureusement.
  La nuit, la ruelle peut être un peu inquiétante quand on rentre seul.e, avec les SDF qui dorment au bout de la rue.
  Mais les points positifs compensent largement ces points.
