The location is pretty genius, actually. Clemenceau is one of those streets that locals use to cut through the city center without dealing with the tourist chaos down on the Croisette, but you’re still only about a seven-minute walk to the beach. I mean, you could stumble to the Palais des Festivals in your pajamas if you really wanted to – not that I’d recommend it, but you get the idea. What I really appreciate is that you’re close enough to grab morning pastries at the little boulangerie on Rue d’Antibes (they do this almond croissant that’s basically criminal), but far enough up the hill that you’re not dealing with the street noise and crowds that can make staying in central Cannes feel like living inside a tourist brochure.

The kitchen is small but functional (I managed to make a proper dinner, though I did have to get creative with counter space), and honestly, the bed is better than what you’ll find in most hotels at this price point. Storage is a bit tight – you’ll want to pack light or get friendly with living out of your suitcase for a few days. The bathroom’s compact but the water pressure is solid, which feels like a small miracle given how many places in old Cannes buildings leave you with a sad trickle.

What really sets this place apart is that panoramic terrace – it’s where you’ll end up spending most of your time anyway. Sunset drinks up there while watching the yachts drift in and out of the harbor? That’s the kind of moment that makes you understand why people lose their minds over the French Riviera. Just keep in mind that summer evenings can get pretty lively with all the restaurants and bars below, so if you’re someone who needs absolute quiet to sleep, maybe pack some earplugs. But honestly, there’s something kind of magical about falling asleep to the distant sound of people enjoying themselves in one of the world’s most beautiful cities.
