Hotel Description

So I’ve stayed at Hotel des Congrès et Festivals a few times now, and honestly? It’s one of those places that grows on you. First impression walking up Rue Teisseire – it’s this narrow street that most tourists completely miss, tucked away from the main Boulevard de la Croisette chaos. Which is actually perfect because you’re still right in the thick of things, just without the constant stream of people trying to spot celebrities outside the Martinez.

The hotel itself has that classic French three-star vibe – not trying to be something it’s not, you know? The lobby’s got these worn marble floors that click satisfyingly under your feet, and there’s always this faint scent of coffee drifting from their little breakfast area. What I really appreciate is how the staff actually remembers you after a day or two. Marie at the front desk (she’s usually there mornings) knows the city inside and out – she’s the one who told me about that incredible little bakery on Rue Meynadier that opens at 6 AM. The rooms are… well, they’re European three-star rooms, so don’t expect huge spaces, but the beds are surprisingly comfortable and the AC actually works, which during Cannes festival season is basically a miracle.

Here’s what makes this place work though – location, location, location, but not in the obvious way. Sure, you can walk to the Palais des Festivals in maybe eight minutes, but more importantly, you’re positioned perfectly for real Cannes life. The Marché Forville is literally around the corner (Tuesday through Sunday mornings – don’t miss it), and you’re close enough to the old town on Mont Chevalier that you can actually escape the tourist madness when you need to. Parking’s always a nightmare in Cannes, but there’s a public garage about two blocks away that’s way cheaper than hotel parking. The 8.2 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises. During festival time the neighborhood gets buzzy but not obnoxiously loud, and in the off-season it’s got this lovely quiet residential feel. I mean, you’ll hear the occasional scooter at night (it’s France, after all), but nothing that decent earplugs can’t handle. The breakfast is continental style, nothing fancy, but the croissants are legit and the coffee’s strong enough to fuel whatever Cannes adventure you’ve got planned.

The concierge service in Cannes can arrange exclusive access to film screenings, secure reservations at celebrity-frequented restaurants, and organize personalized visits to the Palais des Festivals and nearby islands.

  • The staff was friendly and the location of the hotel is good, people can get to the beach easily. – Eli from Peru – 27 April 2025 (8/10)

    The staff was friendly.

What could be improved: There was no variety for breakfast, especially when it came to choosing fruit and eggs. There were only bananas and boiled eggs.

  • Will stay again in this hotel for the next visit – Kamal from United Arab Emirates – 31 December 2024 (9/10)

The location is amazing. You can access all attractions by foot

What could be improved: Room a bit small for a family

  • Superb – Richard from United Kingdom – 29 July 2024 (9/10)

This is a lovely little budget hotel right in the middle of town. My room was clean, quiet, and with a very comfortable bed.

What could be improved: You get what you pay for and at this price, it would be unfair to criticise the lack of fountains, gardens, statues or pool complex.

  • Good if you’re looking for budget friendly bed to crash on in Cannes – Mobarak from Saudi Arabia – 19 July 2024 (8/10)

Given the information it’s 3 stars, it’s clean with good room service and excellent air conditioner unit.
The reception staff would do extra mile to help you

What could be improved: Too small elevator, too small room and too small corridors

  • Great hotel, highly recommend! – Charline from Lebanon – 9 July 2024 (9/10)

    Nearby to all places

What could be improved: The rooms were too small to fit our huge luggage’s.

  • Good – Jessica from Australia – 3 September 2023 (7/10)

The location was fantastic, situated in the heart of Cannes. The staff were fabulous and super helpful, and the room was clean and spacious.

What could be improved: The walls are quite thin and rooms are close together so sometimes you can hear other people, but was fine most of the time.

  • Very good – Mohamad from Lebanon – 7 July 2023 (8/10)

location was perfect, Eliane was very helpfull
