Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “IMMOGROOM” I had no idea what to expect, but this little place on Rue de la Rampe really surprised me. It’s tucked into this narrow street that most tourists walk right past, which is actually perfect because you get that authentic Cannes neighborhood feel without the chaos. The eight-minute walk to the Palais des Festivals is no joke either – I timed it myself, and even during the festival madness, you can slip through the back streets and avoid most of the crowds.

What really sold me on this spot was how the owners clearly understand what travelers actually need. The AC works properly (thank god, because Cannes in summer is brutal), and they’ve got it positioned so you’re not getting blasted while you sleep. The Quai St Pierre reference in the name makes sense once you’re there – you can actually see the old port area from some of the rooms, and there’s something really satisfying about falling asleep to the sound of boats gently bumping against the docks rather than traffic noise. The whole building has this lived-in French apartment feel that most hotels try to fake, but here it’s just… real, you know? The hallways smell like that specific combination of old stone and sea air that you only get in these coastal towns.

I mean, it’s a 3-star place so don’t expect marble bathrooms or anything fancy, but honestly the details are what matter. The shower pressure is solid, the wifi actually reaches every corner of the room, and – this might sound weird but hear me out – the bed linens feel like they’ve been sun-dried, which is oddly comforting. The neighborhood is where this place really shines though. You’ve got the morning market vendors setting up on Rue d’Antibes just a few blocks away, and that little bakery on the corner (I think it’s called something with “Soleil” in the name) does these incredible croissants that honestly ruined regular croissants for me forever. Plus, if you’re here during film festival season, you’re close enough to feel the energy but far enough away that you can actually get some sleep. The rating of 8 feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need, especially when Cannes can be so overwhelming with all its glitz and noise.
