— The hotel
Immogroom – Quiet T2 – Garden level – AC – Wifi
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Cannes over the years, and this little gem on Rue Fénelon honestly surprised me. You know what struck me first? The name – “Immogroom – Quiet T2” – sounds pretty corporate, right? But once you actually get there, it’s this perfectly peaceful ground-floor apartment that feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in some cookie-cutter hotel.
The location is what really makes this work. Pointe Croisette sounds fancy (and it sort of is), but Rue Fénelon itself is this quiet residential street where you can actually hear yourself think. I mean, you’re still close enough to the Croisette that you can walk to all the madness – the beaches, the designer shops, that whole scene – but when you come back in the evening, it’s like stepping into a different world. The garden level thing might sound underwhelming, but honestly? It’s brilliant. No stairs when you’re hauling luggage, and there’s this little outdoor space where I’d sit with my morning coffee, watching the locals walk their dogs. Very un-touristy, which I loved.
The AC was a lifesaver during my July visit – and I’m talking proper air conditioning, not one of those sad little units that barely moves the air around. The wifi actually worked too, which… well, if you’ve traveled in France, you know that’s not always a given. What really got me though was how quiet it was at night. Cannes can be absolutely nuts during festival season or peak summer, but this street stays peaceful. I could sleep with the windows open most nights, which is rare when you’re this close to the action. The apartment itself feels lived-in rather than sterile – good kitchen if you want to grab groceries at the Monoprix down on Rue d’Antibes, comfortable bed, and enough space that you don’t feel cramped. It’s not luxury in the marble-and-gold sense, but it’s that French thing where everything just… works well together.
Honestly, the 9 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there. It’s one of those places where all the practical stuff is sorted – easy check-in, responsive host, everything clean and functional – but it also has that intangible quality of feeling right. You know what I mean? Like when a place just fits. If you’re the type who wants to be in the thick of Cannes but also wants to feel like you live there, rather than just passing through, this is your spot.
