It’s one of those places that doesn’t look like much from the street but completely surprises you once you’re inside. The name basically translates to “pretty apartment with sea view,” which is refreshingly straightforward – no fancy marketing nonsense, just telling you exactly what you’re getting.

The location is actually pretty clever if you know Cannes at all. Rue des Vosges sits in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to the action but far enough away that you won’t have drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 3 AM during the film festival. You can walk to the Croisette in about ten minutes (I timed it), but you’re also near some of those little bakeries and markets that locals actually use. There’s this tiny café around the corner that makes proper coffee – not the touristy stuff – and the woman who runs it will remember your order after like two visits. The sea view they promise? Well, it’s there, though you might have to crane your neck a bit or step out onto the balcony to really appreciate it. But honestly, when the Mediterranean is sparkling in the late afternoon light, even a partial view feels pretty magical.

What I really liked about this place is how it feels more like staying in someone’s actual apartment rather than a sterile hotel room. The furnishings aren’t brand new or Instagram-perfect, but they’re comfortable and real – you know what I mean? The kitchen actually has proper cookware (not just two bent forks and a dull knife), which is rare in these vacation rentals. The 7.7 rating makes sense to me because it’s solidly good without being flashy. There are little quirks – the shower pressure varies depending on time of day, and the Wi-Fi can be temperamental when it’s windy – but these feel like authentic old-building character rather than deal-breakers. Parking can be a bit of a hunt in this neighborhood, but there’s usually something within a block or two if you’re patient. The building itself has that faded French Riviera charm where the paint’s a little weathered but the bones are solid. During high season it gets pretty lively in the evenings with families coming back from the beach, but it settles down nicely after dinner time. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to feel more like a temporary local than just another tourist passing through.

  Lovely view, very clean, calm area, comfortable beds, host was easy to communicate with and it's nice that there is an elevator as its a 5th floor.
  
  What could be improved: Make sure you ask if bedding and towels are included in your stay, because it was unclear to me at the time of booking that they were not included.

  La comodidad del departamento, tenia lavadora de ropa, cocina, heladera, cafetera, todo muy bien. Ademas, si bien la zona es incomoda de llegar (esta subiendo varias cuestas), es un lugar muy tranquilo.
  
  What could be improved: No tiene Wifi, no tienen toallas y la zona. Si bien es a 15 minutos del Palais, es en subida constante.
