The rue Forville area gets lively during market hours but settles into this pleasant residential rhythm by evening. I found myself walking different routes to the beach each day just because the narrow streets in this part of the city center are genuinely fun to explore. Just be aware that parking can be tricky if you’re driving – this is old Cannes we’re talking about, where streets were designed for horses, not rental cars. But really, once you’re settled in, you won’t need a car anyway. Everything worth seeing is either walkable or a quick bus ride away.
