The duplex itself has that fresh renovation smell (in a good way, not like paint fumes), and whoever did the work actually thought about how people use spaces. The swimming pool is honestly the star here — it’s not huge, but it’s perfectly sized for cooling off after walking around Cannes in July heat, and the whole setup feels private enough that you’re not performing for neighbors. I spent most mornings out there with coffee, which sounds cheesy but was actually pretty perfect. The kitchen is properly equipped too, which matters because eating out every meal in Cannes will drain your bank account fast. I mean, I love a good restaurant, but sometimes you just want to grab stuff from the Monoprix and make a simple dinner, you know?

What I really appreciated was the neighborhood vibe — Avenue de Vallauris is quiet enough to sleep well (no drunk festival-goers stumbling around at 3am), but you’re still close enough to walk to the action when you want it. There’s this little boulangerie about five minutes away that locals actually use, not some tourist trap, and honestly their croissants were better than the fancy hotel buffets down by the water. Parking was straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven in Cannes will tell you is not always a given.
