Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “LE CHANCEUX fabuleux duplex en design,” I thought it might be one of those places that’s all style and no substance. But honestly? This little gem on Rue Jean Dollfus completely surprised me. The duplex setup is actually pretty clever – you get this sense of having your own little Cannes apartment rather than just another hotel room. The design leans heavily into that modern French aesthetic without being too precious about it, you know? There’s enough personality in the space that you don’t feel like you’re staying in a catalog showroom, but it’s still polished enough that you’ll want to take photos.

What really won me over was the location – and I mean the real location, not just “city center” nonsense. Rue Jean Dollfus puts you right in the thick of things without the chaos of being directly on La Croisette. You’re maybe a five-minute walk to the beach, but more importantly, you’re surrounded by actual Cannes life. There’s this little bakery around the corner that locals hit up for morning pastries (the pain au chocolat is dangerous), and you can walk to the Marché Forville in about ten minutes when you want to feel like a proper French person buying tomatoes. The Palais des Festivals is close enough that you’ll hear the buzz during festival season – which is either a feature or a bug depending on why you’re there, but at least you know what you’re getting into.

The duplex thing isn’t just a gimmick either. Having that separation between the living area and bedroom actually makes the space feel bigger than most hotel rooms you’ll find in Cannes for this price point. I mean, it’s still France, so don’t expect American-sized anything, but you can spread out a bit. The rating of 8.8 feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but there’s nothing that’ll really annoy you either. Check-in was smooth, the place was clean, and honestly, the shower pressure was better than I expected (always a gamble in older European buildings). If you’re doing the business conference thing, you’ve got space to actually work without sitting on the bed with your laptop. If you’re there for romance, well, the duplex setup gives you options for how you want to spend your evening. Just keep in mind that summer in Cannes gets pretty intense, and while there’s AC, you’ll still want to plan your day around the heat rather than fighting it.

  We loved the location, the beach is amazing! There's a lot of restaurants nearby. Lovely icecream shop at 5 min walk, La Gelateria.
  
  It's a very clean and modern feeling apartment, in a really amazing location, we cooked some nice dinners in the apartment, got to watch some Netflix, slept well in this bed! Very nice rainshower also.

  Lots of restaurants in the area.
  5-10 min walk for a short boatride to visit some islands. We visited Ile Saint Marguerite, where you can see The Man in the Iron Mask, and then swim on the beach!
  
  The communication with Florella was also great! Anytime I texted them they would help me. Our wifi didn't work, somebody came over to fix it the same day. Very pleasant people.
  
  What could be improved: Some minor things that didn't ruin our stay, but could be improved:
  1. The couch upstairs is not very comfortable.
  2. The kitchenware/cutlery isn't very nice, could use some replacements.
  3. The lack of natural light, maybe this is due to the building being historically protected, but there is barely any windows.
  4. Airco made a buzzing noise which would go away for 5-30 minutes if you give it a little push. Plastic cover seems to be vibrating against itself.

J ai du me rendre à l agence pour les récupérer et lorsque je suis arrivée on m a dit que j aurai pu appeler et il se déplace mais rien était indiqué sur le mail. Et pour le départ j ai appelé on m avait donné un numéro qui ne fonctionnait pas et le numéro d agence ne répondait pas j ai du à nouveau me déplacer

  Die Lage und das Haus sind wirklich hervorragend – ebenso die Einrichtung der Wohnung, die uns sehr gefallen hat.
  
  What could be improved: Leider war die Sauberkeit nicht zufriedenstellend: Es waren überall Flecken und Staub zu finden.
  Auch auf meine Nachricht bezüglich des nicht funktionierenden WLANs erhielt ich leider keine Rückmeldung von der Ansprechperson.
