The hotel itself is this lovely, understated place that doesn’t try too hard – which I really appreciated after seeing so many over-the-top properties that feel more like theme parks than actual places to stay. I’ll be honest – this isn’t the place if you need a rooftop infinity pool for your Instagram or want to roll out of bed directly onto the beach. But if you’re looking for that sweet spot between authentic local experience and tourist convenience, Le Palm really delivers. The La Californie area has this interesting mix of old Cannes money and young families, so you get great little restaurants and cafes that aren’t just tourist traps. Plus, parking is actually manageable up here – something you’ll definitely appreciate if you’re driving along the coast. The whole vibe just feels more… real, I guess? Like you’re staying somewhere that exists for reasons beyond just housing visitors during film festival season. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay because you’ve found your little corner of the French Riviera, even if it wasn’t exactly what you pictured when you first booked your trip to Cannes.
