The room I stayed in was clean and functional — exactly what you’d expect from a well-managed three-star place. It’s not going to blow you away with designer furniture, but everything works properly and the bed was actually quite comfortable. The space felt typically European (meaning compact but efficiently laid out), and there’s decent storage for your stuff. What I appreciated most was how quiet it was at night, considering you’re right in the city center — that’s not always a given in Cannes.

Practical Details

Check-in was smooth, and they were responsive when I had a question about local transport. The building doesn’t have a restaurant or fancy amenities, but honestly, when you’re this close to everything in Cannes, you don’t really need them. There are bakeries, markets, and cafés everywhere — I mean, you’re in France, so why would you want to eat hotel food anyway?

This place works because it gets the fundamentals right without charging premium prices for location. You’re paying for that prime Cannes address without the inflated costs of the beachfront hotels. The 8.4 rating makes sense — it’s not perfect, but it delivers exactly what it promises.   What could be improved: Very tired, old and stained furniture. Window handles and locks very rusty. All looks like is about to fall apart.
  The main lock of entrance door stopped working and we got locked out one night. There’s no owner near by, no emergency contact. The managing agency works 9-5 only, no support out of hours. We had to call locksmith to get in. We payed €418 for this which the agency refused to refund us. Had we didn’t pay, we would’ve stayed on the street in the middle of night without access of my essential medications. The support team on hotel.com was not able to mediate and get any answer from the managing agency. We have never received a call or txt back. We are still owed our money.

  Location is excellent – very close to beach and Palaise. Convenient for Cannes Lions where I had to walk 15 minutes. Clean, safe and plenty of room for a solo traveler (or a couple).
