— The hotel
Les Jardins de Lérins By SCLS Locations
You know what caught me off guard about Les Jardins de Lérins? It’s tucked away on Avenue de Lérins in this quieter pocket of Cannes that somehow feels miles from the Croisette chaos, even though you’re literally still in the Pointe Croisette area. I mean, when you think 3-star hotel in Cannes, you’re probably bracing yourself for cramped rooms and that weird carpet smell – but this place actually surprised me. The garden aspect isn’t just marketing fluff either; there’s this genuinely peaceful courtyard space where you can sit with your morning coffee while the rest of the city’s still sleeping off last night’s rosé.
What I really appreciate is how the staff seems to get that not everyone staying here is doing the film festival thing or dropping serious cash at the casinos. They’re helpful without being pushy, and honestly, their local recommendations were spot-on – they steered me toward this little bakery about two blocks down that I never would’ve found otherwise. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything works (which, let’s be real, isn’t always a given in this price range). I stayed in May when things were getting busy but not completely insane yet, and the noise level was totally manageable. You might catch some street sounds during the day, but it’s not like you’re trying to sleep next to Boulevard de la Croisette.
Here’s the thing that really sells it for me – the location gives you the best of both worlds. You can walk to the main beach areas and all the touristy spots (takes maybe 10-15 minutes depending on how fast you move), but when you want to escape the crowds and actually relax, you’ve got this little oasis to come back to. The 9.4 rating honestly makes sense once you spend a night or two there. It’s not trying to be the Intercontinental, but it delivers on what it promises, and in a city where you can easily blow your budget on accommodation alone, that’s worth something. Plus, parking is way less of a nightmare in this part of town – trust me on that one, I learned the hard way at my first Cannes hotel.
