You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Les Néfliers on Rue des Vosges – honestly, the street’s pretty quiet and residential, nothing fancy about it. But that turned out to be exactly what made this place so perfect. It’s tucked away in this lovely neighborhood that feels authentically Cannes, not the glitzy tourist strip you see in all the photos. The building itself has that classic French charm without trying too hard, and when you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here. The lobby smells faintly of lavender (not overpowering, just… nice), and the woman at reception greeted me like I was staying at her family’s place rather than just another booking number.

What really got me was how thoughtfully everything’s done. The rooms aren’t huge – I mean, it’s a 3-star place in Cannes, so manage your expectations – but they’ve maximized every inch beautifully. My room had these wonderful French doors that opened onto a small balcony, and while you can’t see the sea from here, you get this lovely view of the neighborhood’s terracotta rooftops and that distinctive Côte d’Azur light filtering through. The bed was actually comfortable (you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong), and the bathroom had one of those rainfall showers that made me want to stay in longer than I should have. There’s decent soundproofing too, which matters because Rue des Vosges does get some traffic during the day, though it quiets down nicely in the evenings. One small thing – the WiFi can be a bit spotty on the upper floors, but honestly, isn’t that kind of what you want when you’re in the South of France?

The location is brilliant once you understand the neighborhood. You’re about a 12-minute walk to the Palais des Festivals and maybe 15 to the main beaches, but here’s the thing – you’re also right near where actual Cannes residents live and shop. There’s this fantastic boulangerie called Du Pain et des Idées just two blocks down (grab their almond croissants, seriously), and the Marché Forville is close enough for a morning stroll if you’re into that scene. Parking can be tricky around here – the hotel doesn’t have its own spots – but there’s usually street parking if you’re patient, or the municipal lot on Rue Louis Blanc is about a five-minute walk. What I loved most was coming back each evening after dealing with the crowds and chaos of downtown Cannes and feeling like I was returning to this calm, residential pocket where I could actually breathe. For the price point and that 9.7 rating (which, honestly, feels about right), Les Néfliers delivers something you can’t always find in Cannes – genuine hospitality without the pretense, and a real sense of place that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special.

  Francoise was very attentive and pleasant! She gave us a very warm welcome. The house is incredible—spacious, well-equipped, clean, and organized. The space is highly recommended, and without a doubt, Francoise was one of the highlights!

  one of the best stays we ever had. The hosts – Francoise and Jean-Pierre – made us feel really at home. They were always there to help but never intruding pur private space. Every day they have kept the parking lot for us. The house is perfectly furniahed and has everything needed in the kitchen. From appliances and cutlery to all needed consumables. Garden was perfect – the kids were happy playing there while we enjoyed a late drink. We do recommend that place and thats would be our choice again next time.

  Mon fils et moi avons passé un merveilleux séjour au sein de cette très jolie maison tout confort et idéalement située (ligne de bus à 3mn à pieds reliant le centre de Cannes et ses plages). C’est un cadre idyllique (espace et jardin) pour profiter de Cannes.
  Les propriétaires sont charmants et aux petits soins.
