Look, I’ll be honest with you – Les Tambourins isn’t going to blow your mind, but it’s one of those places that just works. Tucked away on Avenue Laugier, it’s actually in a pretty sweet spot that most tourists completely miss. You’re far enough from the Croisette chaos to get some decent sleep (trust me, you want this during festival season), but close enough that you can walk to the old port in about fifteen minutes. The building itself is classic French apartment-style architecture – you know, those cream-colored facades with the little balconies that look like they’ve been there forever. Which they probably have.

What I really liked about this place was how the staff actually seemed to care about getting things right. The woman at reception – I think her name was Sophie – knew exactly which room would be quietest when I mentioned I was a light sleeper. She also tipped me off about the morning market on Rue Forville, which honestly saved my entire trip because the hotel breakfast is… well, it’s fine, but the croissants from the bakery two blocks down are infinitely better. The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a solid three-star – clean, functional, decent shower pressure. Nothing fancy, but the AC worked perfectly (crucial in summer), and there’s something refreshing about a place that doesn’t try to be boutique-y when it’s clearly just focused on doing the basics well. I mean, the decor is a bit dated – lots of beige and navy stripes that scream early 2000s – but everything felt well-maintained.

Here’s what you should know: parking is actually manageable here, which is basically a miracle in Cannes. There’s street parking right outside, and while it’s not free, it’s way cheaper than what you’ll pay closer to the beaches. The neighborhood gets pleasantly quiet after 9 PM, but during the day you’ve got this nice residential buzz with people walking their dogs and kids playing in the small park nearby. It’s real Cannes life, not tourist Cannes life – if that makes sense. The 7.6 rating feels about right; it’s not going to win any design awards, but you’ll check out feeling like you got your money’s worth and actually experienced the city instead of just visiting it. Perfect if you want to explore beyond the red carpet stuff and don’t need Instagram-perfect everything.

  The studio is very small but good enough for one person. The location is also very good.

(I can speak french so the language barrier was the the problem) The lady who came to do the check in was talking and ignoring all my questions, told me to clean the kitchen before I leave and told me off for being late 10 min…
