Les YUCCAS – 2 pièces Suquet Parking Vue Mer pour 4 personnes
So I stayed at Les YUCCAS last spring, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from the name – sounds like some generic apartment complex, right? But this little two-bedroom spot completely surprised me. It’s tucked away on rue des orangers, which is actually perfect because you’re close enough to everything in Cannes but far enough from the madness that you can actually sleep at night.
The whole “Vue Mer” thing in the name isn’t just marketing fluff – you really do get these glimpses of the Mediterranean between the buildings, especially from the main room. I mean, it’s not like you’re hanging over the Croisette or anything, but there’s something nice about catching that blue sparkle while you’re having your morning coffee. The apartment itself feels lived-in rather than sterile, which I appreciate. The kitchen’s got everything you actually need (not just the bare minimum some places give you), and there’s this little balcony where I’d sit with wine in the evenings. The parking situation is what sold me though – anyone who’s tried to park in Cannes during festival season knows this is basically gold. You get a dedicated spot, which removes so much stress from the whole experience.
What I really loved about the location is how it puts you in the Suquet area, which honestly feels like the real Cannes. You can walk down these narrow cobblestone streets in the morning and grab pastries from the local boulangerie before the tourists even wake up. There’s this little market nearby where actual locals shop – not the fancy stuff down by the port, but real tomatoes and cheese and bread. The walk to the old town takes maybe ten minutes, and if you want to hit the beach or the Palais des Festivals, it’s about fifteen minutes downhill. Coming back uphill with groceries is a bit of a workout, I’ll admit, but that’s just Cannes geography for you. The building itself is quiet – mostly seems to be other vacation rentals and some locals, so no crazy party atmosphere. Check-in was smooth, though you’ll want to coordinate timing since it’s not a hotel with 24-hour reception. The whole place just feels authentic, you know? Like you’re staying in someone’s actual home rather than some corporate rental. For four people, there’s definitely enough space without everyone stepping on each other, and the second bedroom is a real bedroom, not some converted living room situation. It’s the kind of place where you can actually settle in for a few days and feel like you’re living in Cannes rather than just visiting it.
