Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Cannes apartments, and this place on Rue la Fontaine honestly surprised me – in the best way possible. You know how rental descriptions can be… creative with the truth? Well, this one actually delivers. The 80 square meters feels genuinely spacious, not like those cramped “luxury” boxes you sometimes get stuck with. And when they say one minute to the beach, they mean it. I timed it (because I’m that person) – 47 seconds to the sand if you walk fast.

The location is pretty much perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without the Croisette madness right outside your window. Rue la Fontaine is this quiet little street that locals actually use, so you get that authentic Cannes vibe instead of just tourist central. The two bathrooms thing might seem like overkill until you’re traveling with friends or family – then it becomes a godsend, trust me. The bedrooms are properly sized too, not afterthoughts carved out of a living room like some places I could mention. What really got me was the kitchen setup – it’s actually functional. You can make real meals here, not just reheat croissants. The morning light comes in beautifully around 8 AM, and honestly, having coffee on a quiet French street before the city wakes up? That’s the stuff you remember.

The 9.9 rating isn’t just inflated reviews from people’s aunts – this place earns it. The building itself has that classic Cannes character without being stuffy or outdated. You’re close enough to walk to all the film festival spots (if that’s your thing), but far enough away that you won’t be dodging red carpet barriers and crowds of photographers every time you want groceries. The Marché Forville is about a five-minute walk, which means fresh everything if you’re into that. Parking can be… well, it’s Cannes, so manage your expectations, but the area isn’t as impossible as some parts of the city. I mean, you’ll probably end up paying for a spot, but at least you can find one. The whole setup just works – it feels like staying in someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental property, and after a long day of beach time or exploring the old town, that makes all the difference.

  An amazing place! Best thing about it was Rene – the host was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any requests (almost immediately!). Beautiful apartment, very clean, great facilities and superb location! Bonus it also has an elevator in the building (unlike most European apartments) – thankfully so it was easy headed up to level 3. Bedrooms were very quiet and soundproof despite being in the city center. 110% recommend and will definitely come back again next year – Thank you Rene!!
