Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Cannes, and this spot on Rue du Commandant André honestly surprised me. When you see “Luxurious 4 bedrooms” in the name, you might roll your eyes a bit – I mean, everyone calls their place luxurious these days, right? But walking into this apartment, it actually lives up to the hype. The space feels genuinely spacious, not like those cramped “luxury” studios you sometimes get stuck with. What really got me was how quiet it stays despite being right in the city center. You’d think with all the action happening around Boulevard de la Croisette just minutes away, you’d hear constant noise, but the building seems to block most of it out. The four bedrooms thing isn’t just marketing speak either – they’re actual proper bedrooms, not weird converted spaces or glorified alcoves.

The location is honestly what makes this place special, though. That “1min beaches” claim? I timed it because I’m skeptical like that, and yeah, you can literally walk to the sand in under two minutes if you take the little shortcut down toward Plage du Martinez. Most tourists don’t even know about that path. And the Palais des Festivals is genuinely a three-minute stroll – I walked it multiple times during my stay. You know what’s really convenient though? There’s this little bakery called Paul just around the corner that opens at 6:30 AM, perfect for grabbing croissants before the crowds hit. The area gets pretty busy during festival season (obviously), but in the shoulder months, you’ve got this perfect balance where everything’s open and lively, but you’re not fighting through red carpet chaos every time you want to grab dinner.

I’ll be honest – the 3-star rating had me wondering if it would feel dated or cramped, but the 9.3 guest rating makes total sense once you’re there. The kitchen is actually functional (shocking, I know), with a proper-sized fridge and enough counter space to make real meals instead of just reheating leftovers. Parking can be a bit tricky in this neighborhood – there’s street parking but it fills up fast, especially in summer. The check-in process was smooth, none of that waiting around for hours business. One small thing that bugged me initially was the shower pressure in the main bathroom, but honestly, after a day at the beach, you barely notice. The beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with that stiff neck you sometimes get from sketchy mattresses. What really sealed it for me was stepping out onto the little balcony in the evening – you can catch glimpses of the sea between the buildings, and there’s something about having your morning coffee while watching Cannes wake up that just feels right. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to stay in sometimes instead of constantly rushing out to prove you’re vacationing hard enough.
