Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places along the Croisette, and this apartment actually surprised me in the best way. You know what hits you first? The fact that you’re literally on Boulevard de la Croisette – I mean, you step out the front door and you’re right there with all the festival madness and designer shops, but somehow the apartment itself feels like this calm bubble above it all. The terrace is honestly the star here – it’s not huge, but it’s got this perfect angle where you can see slices of the Mediterranean between the buildings, and in the morning you’ll catch that golden light that makes everyone look like they’re in a movie.
The three bedrooms are laid out really smartly, actually. The main one faces away from the boulevard, which is genius because even with good windows, the Croisette can get pretty lively until late (especially during festival season – forget about sleeping before 2 AM in May). The other two rooms are decent sized, and there’s this nice flow between the living areas that makes it feel bigger than it probably is on paper. What I really appreciated was the kitchen – it’s actually functional, not just for show like some rental places. You can make proper coffee in the morning instead of hunting down an overpriced café, though honestly, there’s something to be said for grabbing a croissant from the little boulangerie on Rue d’Antibes, just a two-minute walk behind the building.
Parking is… well, it’s Cannes, so it’s going to be a bit of a situation no matter what. But there’s a public garage pretty close by, and the hosts were surprisingly helpful about the whole thing – they actually know the area instead of just sending you generic directions. The building itself has that classic French apartment feel without being stuffy about it. During quieter times (definitely avoid July and August if you want any semblance of peace), you can actually hear the palm trees rustling from the terrace, which sounds cheesy but it’s genuinely lovely. The whole setup works really well for families or a group of friends who want to feel like they’re living in Cannes rather than just visiting – you know, picking up groceries at Monoprix, figuring out which beach clubs are worth the money, having that morning coffee while watching the city wake up. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place on the coast, but it gets the important stuff right.
