The location is what really sells it. Rue Macé runs parallel to the famous waterfront strip, so you get all the perks without the constant tourist chaos right outside your window. You can pop down to the beach for an early morning walk before the crowds hit, then wander over to the Palais area for coffee at one of those tiny cafés the locals actually use. There’s this great little boulangerie just around the corner – I won’t say exactly where because some secrets should stay secret – but you’ll smell the croissants baking if you’re up early enough. The apartment itself feels properly French, not like those sterile hotel rooms that could be anywhere. Three rooms means you can actually spread out, and the fact that it’s pulling a 9-rating tells you something about how the owners maintain it.

What I love about staying here versus the big hotels is that you’re living in the actual neighborhood. You’ll hear real French conversations drifting up from the street, not just tourist chatter.
