You know what caught me off guard about Nid D’amour? The name sounds almost too romantic to be real, but honestly, when you’re standing on that little stretch right at Pointe Croisette with the Mediterranean literally lapping at your feet, it actually makes sense. This isn’t your polished palace hotel – it’s more like someone’s beautifully maintained secret that happens to have the best water access in Cannes.

The location on Boulevard Eugène Gazagnaire is what really makes this place. I mean, you’re technically still in Cannes, but you’ve escaped that whole Croisette circus – you know, the see-and-be-seen madness that can get exhausting after about ten minutes. Here, you get this quieter side of the bay where locals actually swim (the water’s cleaner too, if we’re being honest). The 3-star rating might make you think it’s basic, but that 7.8 score tells the real story – people get what they came for. The rooms aren’t going to wow you with marble everything, but step onto your balcony in the morning with coffee and watch the sun hit the Îles de Lérins in the distance… well, that’s when you realize fancy lobbies are overrated.

What I really appreciated was how the staff actually knew the area – not just the tourist stuff. They’ll tell you when the morning light is best for photos (around 8 AM, by the way), or that the little path behind the hotel connects to some walking trails most visitors never find. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak season – Boulevard Eugène Gazagnaire isn’t the widest street – but honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t want to drive anywhere anyway. The evenings are particularly nice here because you get that gentle sound of waves without the noise from the main Croisette bars carrying over. I stayed in late September and found myself just sitting by the water with a bottle of local rosé way longer than I’d planned. There’s something about having direct sea access that makes even a simple hotel feel pretty special – especially when you can walk to the center of Cannes in fifteen minutes if you want the action, but retreat to this peaceful pocket when you’ve had enough.

  The location is amazing, I love how close to the water it is and its on a very quiet road. It is just as the photos and key collection was easy. It's quite a long walk, but a nice walk, to Cannes centre, but there are also restaurants nearer if you don't want to go so far.
  
  What could be improved: There is no parking included-which is falsely advertised on Booking.com. We were provided with the name of a car park that is 15minutes walk away. This was quite an inconvenience as we thought it was included. An iron would be useful in the room.

  La posizione è qualcosa di indescrivibile, un angolo di paradiso, inoltre a dicembre il sole sorge esattamente di fronte alla finestra affacciata sul mare, entrando in camera con i suoi meravigliosi colori, spazioso, cucina ben attrezzata, balconcino con tavolino e sedie che fanno la differenza perchè sei a meno di 10 metri dal mare. bagno piccolo ma funzionale. letto comodo, bel divano e pure comodo, ottima aria condizionata che fa anche da riscaldamento.
  la casa dove si trova il monolocale è veramente bella, una proprietà frazionata in piu' appartamenti con piu' entrate, e tutto intorno un grange giardino.
  
  What could be improved: l'esterno della casa è in totale abbandono, peccato perchè il giardino sarebbe fantastico se almeno tagliassero l'erba. la tinteggiatura delle parati della scala d'entrata è vecchia e macchiata, e c'è un cattivo odore di muffa e la scala è sporca, ma qui credo sia un problema di manutenzione della struttura che di fatto ha piu' appartamenti e quindi proprietari, all'interno del monolocale la puzza non si sente, e le pareti sono di recente tinteggiatura e pulite.

  What could be improved: Selon l’hôte, Nous aurions du recevoir un document pdf de booking; nous avons donc dû résoudre l’énigme. Par chance nous ne sommes pas arrivés tard donc sans trop de stress.

  Wunderbares Zimmer! Sehr schöne Aussicht! Tolle Lage! Tolle Ausstattung! Schönes Haus.
  
  What could be improved: Fernbedienung für Tür funktionierte nicht. Kontakt mit Vermieter war möglich, jedoch konnte man mir nicht helfen. Ein Nachbar hatte uns seine zweite Fernbedienung geliehen.

  Sehr schöne Lage mit unverbautem Blick auf das Meer. Interessantes Zimmer mit guter Verkehrsanbindung.
  
  What could be improved: Zugang war aufgrund vieler und letztlich versteckter Schlüsselbox zunächst nicht auffindbar, sehr verwirrend und Vermieterin nicht erreichbar – booking hat geholfen, Danke – Vermieterin war sehr unfreundlich. Haustier war in der Beschreibung möglich wurde von Ihr abgestritten und mögliches Parken auf dem Grundstück wurde grundlos verwehrt. Parken außerhalb auf öffentlichen Parkflächen sehr schwierig. Kleinigkeiten in der Ausstattung fehlend.

  Die Unterkunft war spitze! Super Lage traumhafter Ausblick. Wir hatten ein Problem mit der Unterkunft das wurde von der Eigentümerin aber sofort gelöst, alles in allem Spitzenmäßig.
  
  What could be improved: Ich glaube aus der Unterkunft könnte man noch etwas mehr rausholen! Der Fernseher war leider kaputt und das Treppenhaus war ein wenig kalt. Ich würde aber sagen das sind Luxusprobleme.
