You know what struck me first about this place? The address alone tells you everything – 79 Boulevard de la Croisette puts you right in the thick of things, but honestly, I wasn’t prepared for just how perfect the location actually is. I mean, you’re literally steps from the beach, and when I say steps, I’m talking about a two-minute stroll where you can still hear the waves from your window at night (which, depending on your sleep preferences, is either incredibly romantic or slightly annoying – I loved it).

The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious for Cannes standards. Two proper bedrooms, two full bathrooms, which is actually a godsend when you’re traveling with friends or family because let’s face it, nobody wants to fight over bathroom time when you’re getting ready for dinner on the Riviera. The whole place has this lived-in feeling that’s way more comfortable than those sterile hotel rooms you usually get. The kitchen’s actually functional too – I ended up making coffee there every morning because, well, French hotel coffee can be hit or miss, and the local market on Rue Meynadier (about a five-minute walk inland) has incredible pastries if you want to do the whole European breakfast thing properly.

What really sets this spot apart though is how it sits right in Pointe Croisette – you’re close enough to the fancy hotels and restaurants that you feel part of the scene, but far enough from the absolute chaos of the main stretch that you can actually get some peace. The beach access is phenomenal, and here’s something the guidebooks don’t tell you: early morning walks along the Croisette before the crowds hit are absolutely magical. The light’s incredible, the joggers are out, and you get this glimpse of what Cannes feels like when it’s not performing for tourists. Parking can be a nightmare during festival season (obviously), but the rest of the year it’s manageable – there’s a public garage nearby that locals use. The building itself is well-maintained, nothing fancy but clean and quiet, with that classic French apartment building feel where you nod politely to neighbors in the hallway. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if you want to feel like you’re actually living in Cannes for a bit rather than just visiting it.
