Palais Miramar apartment with sea view on La Croisette
Honestly, when I first walked into this apartment at Palais Miramar, I wasn’t prepared for just how spectacular that sea view actually is. I mean, you’re literally right on La Croisette – like, you can practically lean out and touch the boulevard below. The apartment sits in this gorgeous Belle Époque building that’s got all that classic Cannes charm, but what really gets you is waking up to those floor-to-ceiling windows framing the Mediterranean. The morning light just floods in, and you can watch the whole Croisette come alive while you’re still in your pajamas.
The space itself is pretty smart for what you’d expect from a 3-star place – it’s not trying to be some over-the-top luxury suite, but everything actually works well. The kitchen’s compact but totally functional (I made coffee there every morning, and honestly, drinking it on that little balcony beats any hotel restaurant). What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays despite being right in the thick of things. You know how La Croisette can get absolutely mental during the film festival or peak summer? Well, the building’s solid enough that you get the energy without the chaos keeping you up all night. Though I’ll be honest – if you’re here during festival season, you’ll definitely hear some of the late-night crowd, but that’s kind of part of the Cannes experience anyway.
The location is just… well, it’s pretty much perfect if you want to be in the center of everything. You’re a two-minute walk from the Palais des Festivals, practically next door to all those fancy boutiques, and – this is key – you can actually walk to the good local spots too. There’s this little bakery on Rue d’Antibes (just behind the Croisette) that the locals hit up, and you can grab real groceries at the Monoprix without having to trek across town. Parking’s going to be your biggest headache if you’re driving – street parking is basically impossible, and the nearby garages aren’t cheap, but that’s Cannes for you. The beach clubs are right there obviously, but here’s something most people don’t realize: the public beach sections are actually really nice early in the morning before the crowds hit. That 9.7 rating makes total sense when you factor in that you’re getting this prime real estate position with actual character – it’s not some sterile hotel room, it’s more like borrowing a friend’s amazing apartment for a few days.
