REF 1380 – Cannes Croisette – Apartment for rent
You know what struck me first about this place? Walking up to 45 Boulevard de la Croisette, I actually had to double-check the address because it felt almost too good to be true. I mean, you’re literally on THE Croisette – not some side street that claims to be “near” it, but right there where you can hear the palm trees rustling and catch glimpses of those iconic white umbrellas on the beach below.
The apartment itself is honestly pretty solid for what you’re paying. It’s got that classic French Riviera vibe without trying too hard – you know, clean lines, decent natural light, and thankfully none of that over-the-top gold leaf nonsense you sometimes get in Cannes. The 3-star rating feels about right; it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but everything works and the space actually feels lived-in rather than sterile. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, which surprised me given you’re smack in the middle of everything. Sure, during festival season (and honestly, most of summer) you’ll hear some street noise, but close the windows and you’re fine.
Here’s the thing that really makes this spot work – the location does all the heavy lifting. You can walk to Palais des Festivals in maybe eight minutes, and all those fancy hotel bars along the Croisette are right there when you want to people-watch over an overpriced cocktail. But what’s actually more useful day-to-day is that you’re close enough to duck into Monoprix for groceries (it’s just behind the main drag on Rue d’Antibes), and there’s this little café – I think it’s called Café de la Poste – where locals actually go for coffee instead of the tourist traps. The beach access is obviously the main draw, though you’ll want to stake out your spot early if you’re visiting in peak season. I found the best approach was hitting the sand around 8 AM, then retreating back to the apartment during that brutal midday sun. The building doesn’t have parking, which is pretty typical for this stretch, but there’s a public garage about a five-minute walk away – just factor that into your budget because parking in Cannes is, well, expensive. Overall, if you want to be in the thick of things without paying Martinez or Carlton prices, this place delivers exactly what it promises. It’s not going to be your most Instagram-worthy accommodation, but honestly? You’ll barely be inside anyway.
