— The hotel
Spacieux 2 pièces terrasse et piscine
You know what honestly surprised me about this place? It’s tucked away on Rue Beaulieu, which is this quiet residential street that most tourists never stumble across, but you’re literally a ten-minute walk from the Croisette. I mean, you get all the glamour of Cannes without the constant buzz of traffic and street performers outside your window.
The apartment itself is really well thought out – and I say apartment because calling it a hotel room doesn’t do it justice. It’s a proper two-room setup with this terrace that actually gets morning sun (trust me, half the terraces in Cannes are in shadow by 9 AM). The pool situation is honestly the best part though. It’s shared, sure, but it’s never crowded because most people don’t even realize this little complex exists. I spent most mornings there with maybe one other person, which in Cannes during festival season is basically a miracle. The water’s kept clean and the area around it has these comfortable loungers that aren’t the cheap plastic ones you see everywhere.
What really sold me on the place was how the owner clearly lives in Cannes and knows what travelers actually need. There’s proper blackout curtains – essential when those street lights stay on all night – and the kitchen has everything down to a decent coffee maker and enough plates for actual meals. The WiFi actually works throughout the whole space, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places in the old parts of Cannes have dead zones. Parking was straightforward too, though you’ll want to get the exact instructions because the entrance isn’t obvious from the street. The walk to Marché Forville takes maybe fifteen minutes if you’re picking up fresh stuff for breakfast, and honestly, starting your day there instead of some overpriced hotel buffet makes the whole trip feel more authentic. That 9.8 rating makes sense when you’re there – it’s the kind of place where everything just works without trying too hard to impress you.
Cannes hotels range from charming boutique properties in the historic Le Suquet district to elegant palace hotels and modern luxury accommodations along La Croisette Boulevard.
