Superb 55m2 apartment – Heart of Cannes – 2BR4p
You know what caught me off guard about this place? Walking into what’s basically a full-sized apartment right in the thick of Cannes – I mean, we’re talking about a proper 55 square meters here, not some cramped hotel box. The location on Rond Point Duboys d’Angers puts you smack in the center of everything, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting to find this much space in such a prime spot.
The two bedrooms actually work – like, really work. I’ve stayed in plenty of places that claim to sleep four but leave someone on a questionable pullout situation. Not here. The layout feels thought-out, probably because it’s an actual apartment that someone converted rather than a hotel room they tried to stretch. You can hear the city humming outside (it’s Cannes, after all), but it’s not the kind of noise that keeps you up. More like that urban soundtrack that reminds you you’re in the heart of something exciting. The kitchen situation is what sold me though – I mean, having real counter space and a proper fridge when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two? Game changer. You’re a five-minute walk from the morning market on Rue Meynadier, which honestly beats hotel breakfast every time.
What I really appreciate is how this place doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It’s not dripping with luxury finishes or trying to compete with the palace hotels along the Croisette – but that 9.8 rating makes total sense when you consider what you’re actually getting. The value equation here is pretty incredible, especially during festival season when everything else in the city center gets completely ridiculous price-wise. You’re close enough to walk to the Palais des Festivals (maybe ten minutes if you’re not rushing), but you’re also in a real neighborhood where locals actually live and work. The little café downstairs has become my morning routine – strong coffee and you can watch the city wake up. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area, but that’s true anywhere in central Cannes, and there are public lots nearby if you’re driving. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward hotel lobby waiting around situation.
Visitors often choose Cannes apartments over traditional hotels because they provide more space, kitchen facilities, and the opportunity to live like a local in this magnificent French Riviera destination.
