SUPERBE DUPLEX IDEALEMENT SITUE PROCHE PLAGES AVEC GRANDE TERRASSE VUE PORT !l A1B59
Okay, so the name is completely over the top – I mean, who calls their place “SUPERBE DUPLEX IDEALEMENT SITUE” and throws in random letters at the end? But honestly, once you get past that ridiculous title, this little apartment on Rue Félix Faure is actually pretty fantastic. I stayed here last spring and was genuinely surprised by how much I loved it.
The location is what really makes this place shine. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Palais des Festivals (yeah, where they do Cannes Film Festival), and the beaches along La Croisette are maybe ten minutes if you’re strolling. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize – Rue Félix Faure runs parallel to all the main action, so you get easy access without the constant tourist chaos right outside your door. There’s this great little bakery called Maison Forville just around the corner where locals actually go for their morning coffee, not the overpriced stuff on the main drag.
The duplex itself feels way more spacious than you’d expect for Cannes city center. The downstairs has this open living area that doesn’t feel cramped, and honestly, the upstairs bedroom setup works really well – it actually feels like a home, not a hotel room. But the real winner is that terrace they’re bragging about in the name. They’re not lying about the port view; you can see the old harbor with all the fishing boats mixed in with some seriously impressive yachts. I spent most evenings up there with a glass of wine from the Monoprix down the street, just watching the boats come and go. The sunset hits just right around 7 PM in late spring, if you’re into that sort of thing.
What I really appreciated were the little details that show someone actually thought about guests staying here. The kitchen has proper coffee cups (not those tiny hotel ones), there’s decent water pressure in the shower, and the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the whole place – even on the terrace. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare in this part of Cannes, but there’s a public garage about three blocks away on Rue Georges Clemenceau that’s not too brutal price-wise.
The only minor complaint I had was that it can get a bit noisy on weekend nights – you’re still in the heart of Cannes, after all, and people do like to party. But honestly, if you’re coming to Cannes and expecting total quiet, you’re probably in the wrong city anyway. During the week it’s perfectly fine, and even on weekends, it’s more lively than obnoxious.
Look, this isn’t going to give you the fancy concierge service of the Carlton or the Martinez, but for the price point and that location, it’s hard to beat. You get your own space, a proper kitchen if you want to grab some amazing produce from Marché Forville, and you’re walking distance from everything that matters in Cannes. Plus that 9 rating isn’t just random – people genuinely seem to love staying here, and after my week there, I totally get why.
