Tony street (that’s what the locals call it) runs parallel to the main drag, so you get easy access to everything – the Palais des Festivals is maybe a four-minute walk, and you can cut through to the beach without dealing with the crowds on Boulevard de la Croisette. The building itself is typically French, which means the elevator is tiny and the hallways are narrow, but once you’re inside the apartment, those two bedrooms are surprisingly spacious. The second bedroom actually faces inland, so if you’re traveling with someone who’s a light sleeper, they’ll appreciate being away from the occasional late-night festival crowd noise.

What really sold me on this place – besides that view, obviously – is how it captures the light. The apartment faces southwest, so you get this gorgeous golden hour situation every evening where the Mediterranean just lights up. I spent way too many mornings out there with coffee, watching the palm trees sway along the Croisette below. The furnishing is simple but comfortable, nothing fancy, though the beds are actually decent quality (I’ve stayed in some Cannes places where you feel every spring). The kitchen is compact but functional if you want to grab supplies from the Monoprix down the street instead of eating out every meal – which honestly, your wallet will thank you for during festival season. Fair warning though: parking around here is basically nonexistent, so if you’re driving, factor in garage fees. But really, once you’re settled in this neighborhood, you’ll walk everywhere anyway. The whole experience feels less like staying in a hotel and more like temporarily living in Cannes, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to soak up the Riviera lifestyle without breaking the bank on one of those palace hotels.
