Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first pulled up to Villa Alexandra on Avenue Maréchal Juin – the name sounds fancy enough, but you know how these luxury apartment places can be hit or miss. Well, let me tell you, this one’s definitely a hit. The building sits right in this perfect sweet spot where you’re close enough to La Croisette to walk there in about eight minutes (I timed it), but far enough back that you don’t get the constant buzz of tourists and street performers that can drive you crazy if you’re trying to actually relax.

The apartments themselves are genuinely stunning – I mean, when they say luxury, they actually mean it here. My unit had this gorgeous marble kitchen that honestly made me want to cook more than I have in years, and the living space flows so naturally you could easily have friends over without feeling cramped. The bedrooms are spacious with these massive windows that let in incredible light, and the bathrooms… well, let’s just say the rainfall shower might be reason enough to book this place. What really impressed me though was the attention to detail – proper blackout curtains (crucial if you’re jet-lagged), USB outlets where you actually need them, and the kind of Egyptian cotton sheets that make you understand why people obsess over thread count. The building itself has this understated elegance that feels more like a high-end residential complex than a typical hotel, which I actually preferred.

Location-wise, this is where Villa Alexandra really shines. You’re in Pointe Croisette, which locals will tell you is one of the better neighborhoods – close to everything but not right in the tourist chaos. There’s a decent Monoprix about a five-minute walk away if you need groceries, and honestly, being able to stock that beautiful kitchen was half the fun. The beach clubs along La Croisette are all walkable, but you’re also perfectly positioned to explore the old town (Le Suquet) without needing a car. Speaking of cars, parking can be tricky in Cannes, but the building has secure garage spots available – definitely worth requesting one when you book. The staff at Villa Alexandra seem to actually live in the area and can give you proper recommendations, not just the typical tourist traps. They pointed me toward this little bakery on Rue d’Antibes that I never would have found otherwise. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the building can get a bit busy during festival season (obviously), so if you want that peaceful residential vibe, maybe avoid May. But honestly, with a 9.5 rating, this place has earned every bit of its reputation – it’s the kind of spot where you start planning your next Cannes trip before you’ve even checked out.

  Excellent! I’ve stayed in a few places in Cannes and this surmounted all of them. Fresh bread / croissants from the bakery in the morning. Exquisitely decorated rooms, everything you could need.

  What could be improved: there is a railway nearby so you can hear some noise from the trains. but it's common on Cote D'Azur coastline

  The building is new and well maintained. The Padel court is fantastic, the gardens are nice, the apartment is clean, modern and done to a very high standard. They’re also very generous with snacks, breakfast on the first morning etc.
  
  What could be improved: The apartment is listed as having a sofa bed and 3 bedrooms. We had a friend staying for 2 nights with us, so planned to use the sofa bed for those nights. I asked to have bedding for the sofa bed and was then informed the sofa was not a sofa bed. They then asked if I needed an extra bed, I replied yes and then was ignored. The next day I asked if there was any update on the extra bed but they read and ignored my message. They then replied to my message enquiring about their yacht hire. I asked again about the bed and they ignored, and once again asked about the yacht hire and they replied straight away. 
One of our friends had to sleep on the sofa with no bedding/sheets, not what you expect when paying over £5k for an apartment for a week. 

There was building work on site. We were not informed about this when booking ( we booked 3 days before the trip). It is pretty poor, especially when the apartment is sold as a terrace apartment.
  Checkout was listed as 11 but we were told we must vacate the apartment before 10 as the cleaners needed to start cleaning at 10am. They should not list checkout at 11 if this is the case.

  One of the nicest places we have stayed at. The villa was beautiful- well stocked and every attention to detail was taken to make sure our stay was amazing, including receiving a basket of breakfast goodies. The amenities were also wonderful- we traveled with our sons and made us of the pádel court, the pool and the bicycles. Property is well situated in Cannes and villas are all updated and just beautifully decorated. I would highly recommend this property!
