Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of beachfront places along the Côte d’Azur, but this apartment on Avenue Laugier honestly surprised me. The name’s a mouthful – “Vue mer exceptionnelle sur plage du Midi en 1re ligne” – but it’s not just marketing fluff. You’re literally right there on Plage du Midi, which honestly beats fighting the crowds at the more famous beaches near the Palais des Festivals. I mean, you step out the front door and you’re on sand within thirty seconds.
The location is what really gets me excited about this place. Avenue Laugier runs parallel to the beach, so you’re getting those unobstructed Mediterranean views without the tourist circus that happens closer to the Croisette. It’s actually a perfect spot if you want to feel like you’re living in Cannes rather than just visiting – there’s a morning boulangerie run that becomes part of your routine, and you’ll find yourself nodding hello to the same dog walkers each day. The two bedrooms work well for families or couples traveling together, though I’ll be honest, you might find yourself spending most of your time on whatever terrace or balcony faces the water. The sound of the waves is constant but not overwhelming, sort of like having a white noise machine that occasionally gets interrupted by the morning joggers calling out “Bonjour!” to each other.
What struck me most was how the 9.1 rating actually makes sense once you’re there. It’s not trying to be a luxury resort – it’s a solid 3-star setup that just happens to have million-dollar views. The practical stuff works: parking isn’t a nightmare like it is closer to the port, and you’re far enough from the late-night party scene but close enough to walk to decent restaurants without needing a car. You know what I really appreciated? The morning light hits the apartment just right, so you can have coffee while watching the sunrise paint the water different shades of blue. By evening, you’re getting those classic French Riviera sunsets that make every Instagram story look effortlessly chic. Sure, it’s not going to have the concierge service of the grand hotels, but honestly, when you’re this close to the beach and can grocery shop like a local at the Marché Forville, you don’t really need someone to arrange your day for you.

La vue sur la mer est splendide, époustouflante, l'appartement est agréable à vivre et très bien équipé. Tout ce fait à pied, pas besoin de se déplacer en voiture. Proche de tous commerces, restaurants, shopping etc… Propriétaire très agréable et réactif. Nous avons passés de très bonnes vacances et comptons revenir pour l'année prochaine.

L’appartement était confortable, bien équipé et bien situé et calme!
Notre hôte nous a offert la prestation linge de lit qui n’était pas initialement inclus dans la réservation. Ça été très apprécié !
What could be improved: Le parking est à 10 minutes à pied dans une autre résidence. Nous étions avec un enfant en bas âge, ce n’était pas forcément pratique au quotidien.

Mooi appartement met frontaal uitzicht op zee. Ruime slaapkamers met goede bedden. Fijne douche met veel capaciteit. Erg ruime keuken met alle voorzieningen. Het is op de vijfde etage, mooi overzicht op de boulevard. Goede ligging direct naast centrum.

Posizione eccellente e strategica 10 minuti a piedi dalla Croisette l'alloggio è in una moderna palazzina sito al 5to piano, alloggio ampio e con tutto, due camere matrimoniali con terrazzino privato, cucina attrezzata di tutti gli elettrodomestici, letti comodi, aria condizionata in tutta la casa, ampio terrazzo con tavolo sedie e poltrone, garage, c'è pure un parcheggio gratuito a 5 minuti a piedi dall'alloggio, vista fantastica sul mare, condominio silenzioso e tenuto pulito, con i bidoni della spazzatura all'interno dello stabile. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente.
