You know what? I stumbled across this two-bedroom spot on Rue du Parc Alexandre III completely by accident – was actually looking for something closer to the main Croisette strip, but honestly, this ended up being way better than I expected. The location is sort of this sweet spot where you’re still in Pointe Croisette but not dealing with the absolute chaos of the main tourist drag. I mean, you can still hear the distant hum of Boulevard de la Croisette when the wind’s right, but it’s more like a gentle reminder that you’re in Cannes rather than an assault on your eardrums.

The apartment itself has this lived-in feeling that I actually love – it’s not trying to be some sterile luxury box. The two bedrooms are properly sized (not those shoe-box situations you sometimes get in French coastal towns), and the whole place has these windows that let in this incredible Mediterranean light. What really got me was stepping out in the morning and realizing you can actually see slices of the sea between the buildings if you crane your neck just right from the main room. The kitchen’s got everything you’d actually need if you want to grab fresh stuff from the Forville market – which, by the way, is about a fifteen-minute walk and absolutely worth it for the morning chaos and incredible produce.

Here’s the thing though – and this is where knowing the area really pays off – you’re positioned perfectly to avoid the summer parking nightmare that destroys most people’s Cannes experience. There’s decent street parking on the residential streets just behind Rue du Parc Alexandre III, and you can walk to the beach in maybe eight minutes without having to navigate the tourist bottleneck around the Palais des Festivals. The walk takes you through these quieter residential blocks where you get glimpses of how locals actually live, past the little boulangerie on Rue d’Antibes that does these almond croissants that are honestly dangerous. The beach access is near the Majestic area, so you’re hitting the sand where it’s a bit less crowded but still has that classic Cannes energy. Honestly, after spending a few days here, I started to think the people paying twice as much to be right on the Croisette were kind of missing the point – you get the full Cannes experience but with actual breathing room and the ability to sleep past 7 AM without construction noise or street cleaners. It’s one of those places where you feel like you’ve discovered something, even though you’re still very much in the heart of everything.

  Wir haben 6 Nächte in dieser wunderschönen Wohnung verbracht! Das sanierte Apartment mit zwei Bädern ist modern ausgestattet und hat alles, was eine vielköpfige Familie mit zwei Kindern für eine Woche Urlaub braucht! Die riesige Terrasse mit dem exotischen Garten und Papagei-Zwitschern war ein purer Genuss morgens und abends! 😊
  
  Die Wohnung liegt in einem ruhigen Wohnquartier, dennoch nicht weit entfernt vom pulsierenden Leben in Cannes – zum öffentlichen Strand Zamenhof und zum Boulevard de la Croisette sind es 10 Minuten zu Fuß.
  
  Zwei Supermärkte befinden sich auch in unmittelbarer Nähe und sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Eine Bushaltestelle ist auch sehr nah vorhanden, von dort aus kommt man schnell zum Bahnhof und dann zu weiteren schönen Orten an der Côte d'Azur wie Nizza, Antibes, Monte-Carlo, Grasse…
  
  Die superfreundliche und nette Gastgeberin hat immer schnell auf unsere Fragen geantwortet und nach der Ankunft uns sehr herzlich empfangen. Wir durften früher einchecken, vielen Dank dafür!
